General Hospital started the year attempting to pair Danny and Charlotte, two teen characters who are also distant cousins due to their Cassadine connection. Now, the show seems to be going there with Rocco and Scout, two teens who also have a familial connection, although not by blood.Rocco and Scout...Hmmm...Rocco (Finn Carr) and Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) are two lonely kids whose parental problems have brought them together. Rocco is just frustrated with everything after the whole Cullum shooting mess. Meanwhile, Scout is dealing with her only parent recovering from locked-in syndrome and going right back to keeping her from seeing her brother and grandmother.As they confided in one another at the Metro Court pool, it became apparent that the show plans to make them one another's confidante, but does it want to do more?"That’s an interesting question," Finn Carr recently said during an interview with ABC 11 in Raleigh, NC. "Kayden is great to work with, and I love working with her. There definitely is some great stuff coming up that people are going to want to watch. It’s good stuff and really fun."While that sounds fantastic on paper and their scenes play out lovely on-screen, there's a reason some fans have a problem with it, while others love it.Too Close for Comfort?While Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) are Cassdine cousins, Scout and Rocco were raised in the same household for a while and considered themselves brother and sister. In fact, Scout was considered Danny and Rocco's "little" sister until a few weeks ago because she was little.Scout was about 10 years old when Cosette Abinante played the role and now she is about 14 since Tokarski took over. The fact that teenage Rocco held little Scout's hand at her mother's funeral not even two years ago makes the potential for romance even more odd."Rocco/Scout is grosser to me than the cousins will ever be," @MySweet_Time wrote on X. "I know the cousins share blood and Rocco/Scout don't but Sante were literally raising them kids as siblings. Dante and Jason moved into the Qs so they could STAY siblings, they were still CALLING each other sibs!"On the other hand, @alovelygirl wrote, "I get some people aren’t here for it but I’m really enjoying the slow burn between Scout and Rocco. They both have sweet soul and can be confidantes for one another."Despite some fans being against this pairing, it does look like GH is going there, so can Rocco and Scout win everyone over?
