General Hospital alum Chad Duell is no longer in soaps, but his fans can still keep up with his creative endeavors. The Daytime Emmy winner, who played Michael Corinthos, has taken on a new role -- that of singer. He's releasing a new single that will be here very soon!
Bad Girls
According to Soap Opera News, Duell's new single, "If You Need Me, will be released on Friday, July 26, on music streaming platforms. The actor/singer has teased that this isn't the only song he'll be releasing. There's more music in his future!
"I’ll make a full post about what I’ve been up to and my music once it goes live next week, but you can pre-save my first single so it goes straight to your Spotify once it drops..." Duell shared on his Instagram Stories.
Duell, like most actors on GH, performed in the Nurses Ball, a (mostly) annual talent show in which characters who live in Port Charles showcase their singing, dancing, and other talents for a fundraiser benefit to bring awareness of HIV/AIDS and support for those in need.
Duell assumed the role of Michael Corinthos, the son of Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and the late A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), from Drew Garrett in 2010, and he played the role for about 15 years. Duell won the Daytime Emmy for playing Michael in 2015 for scenes in which Michael dealt with the fact that his adoptive father, Sonny (Maurice Benard), had killed A.J.
A Message from Michael
Duell's exit from GH in 2025 caught folks off guard. Michael was written off the canvas after being burned in a fire. He went overseas to recuperate. A little over a year ago, Rory Gibson joined GH as Michael. He made a dramatic appearance at the Nurses Ball and reunited with his son, Wiley (Viron Weaver).
Since then, Michael has been locked in battle, one way or another, with Wiley's mom, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), mostly over matters related to their children, Wiley and Amelia (Bo Harrison).

There's also a lot of animosity between them over the fact that Michael was considered a suspect in Drew Cain's (Cameron Mathison) shooting; ironically, Willow, who was found not guilty, was the true shooter! She can be tried again because of "double jeopardy." Michael, however, is on his guard around his ex-wife.
