General Hospital is ready for some more changes this week when Jason drops quite a bombshell on Sonny. What does Sonny do with that info and will he drop his own bombshell? The hottest plots for the week of August 3 to 7, 2026, also include Curtis getting his day in court and Michael worrying about what to do next.
Retirement Parties?

Sonny (Maurice Benard) never expected to (ever) hear Jason (Steve Burton) tell him that he's quitting the business, although Faux Jason (aka Drew) once did just that. Sonny expected this Jason to remain a mobster through thick and thin, but Jason is ready to call it a day and do something else with his life. He also wants to be there for his son, so he knows that he has to change his lifestyle.
Sonny is taken aback, but Sonny later makes an announcement of his own this week. Does he also decide to retire and not buy back his piers? This was Sonny's plan last year, but it never quite happened. Will Jason inspire him? After all, he can't talk about Valentin's (James Patrick Stuart) life being dangerous if his is just as dangerous?
Curtis' Trial Is Here

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) gets his day in court when he has to prove he had proper motivation to assault Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). That also puts Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) in the hot seat. She celebrates Phoebe's adoption, while also having to decide whether to come forward and tell the court what she knows about the night of Jordan's (Tanisha Harper) accident.
Isaiah will take the stand and try to convince a jury that Curtis has been targeting him. Will Curtis act unhinged enough for Isaiah's testimony to work?
Willow Hasn't Won

Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) thinks she has everything she wants for now, so she is going for more. Michael (Rory Gibson) worries that Willow will get even more access to their kids when he knows she likely shouldn't be around them at all.
Willow will find that she faces a brand-new threat. Too many people know that she was the one who shot Drew (Cameron Mathison). Does she want to open a can of worms and go to court? If she does, her house of cards could come crashing down around her.
Do you think Sonny will retire? Will Brook Lynn do the right thing and come forward? Sound off in the comments.
