GH Recap September 28: Charlotte and Danny Say Goodbye, Sidwell and Curtis Point Fingers at Sonny

On the Monday, September 28, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Charlotte learned her fate, Valentin lamented to Anna, and Sidwell and Curtis were in grave condition.

Housewarming

Carly showed up at Lucas' place with wine and a housewarming gift, but was surprised when Joe opened the door. Joe introduced himself, so Carly tried to give him the third degree until Lucas appeared and stopped her. "You are a detective. You should know better. This woman is pumping you with information," Lucas warned.

After Joe left for his shift, Lucas and Carly opened the wine and chatted about Charlotte. Carly mentioned that she and Valentin had bonded over their love for their daughters. Lucas asked how bonded his sister and Valentin actually were. Carly knew that they were brought together by a common goal and him living in her attic, but said their connection has now grown stronger. Lucas asked Carly if she was in love with Valentin.

Pentonville Attack

Isaiah was surprised to see his assault patient was Curtis. He asked Curtis if he would want another doctor. The guard said that Curtis didn't get to choose, but Isaiah argued that Curtis still had rights. After some tests, Isaiah told Curtis that he had only suffered a few broken ribs, as far as he could tell. However, he still wanted to run a few more tests.

By the nurses' station, Dante was surprised when Elizabeth told him that the Pentonville victims were Sidwell and Curtis. When Dante saw the condition that Sidwell was in, he was shocked. Dante asked if Sidwell could tell him who did this to him. "Who do you think?" Sidwell spat.

Dante soon called Joe down to handle the investigation due to a conflict of interest. Joe said he also had a conflict since he was the officer who arrested Curtis and sent him to jail. Dante thought it was less of a conflict than his, so he put Joe in charge.

Sonny and Justine lay in bed in the apartment above Charlie's after making love. Justine worried that more people would find out about them. What if his family began to suspect things after she showed up at his barbecue? "Are we more exposed than we realize?" she asked.

Justine worried that Dante would start putting the pieces together. "Suspicion without proof is nothing," Sonny reminded Justine. She asked him to keep his promise to be honest with her. Their time was interrupted when Dante called to tell Justine about the Pentonville attack.

When she arrived at GH, Dante told Justine he would have to recuse himself because of a potential conflict of interest. Justine tried to keep her cool, but she knew who he was talking about. She then entered Sidwell's trauma room, but was told he was in too bad a condition to talk. Later, Dante told Elizabeth that Sonny could be behind this.

Joe and Justine later questioned Curtis, while Sidwell's heart crashed. Curtis told Justine exactly what the inmate told him: "He said, 'Sonny Corinthos owes you this...and more.'"

Charlotte Gets Bad News

In Lulu's living room, Charlotte was outraged when she learned that her parents were going to send her to boarding school. Valentin informed his daughter that she would get constant supervision at a catholic Maine boarding school, which just served to outrage Charlotte more. She told Valentin that her behavior was fine since she was just following his lead.

"You're doing this to punish me when I've only been doing what you taught me to do," Charlotte accused. Valentin agreed with his daughter and told her that was the problem. Charlotte said this wasn't a reason to get rid of her. Lulu tried to assure Charlotte that nobody wanted to get rid of her.

"It's clear you don't understand the danger you keep putting yourself in and it's happening far too frequently," Valentin explained. Charlotte asked if she could just move back in with Lulu. Valentin warned Charlotte that he and Lulu were on the same page for a change, so Charlotte needed to give up.

Lulu asked to talk to Charlotte alone, so Valentin left. Charlotte thought she was home free and promised her mother she would stay out of trouble. Lulu informed her daughter that she was sadly mistaken. Charlotte insisted that she wasn't in any danger, which is what worried both Lulu and Valentin.

Lulu gave her daughter all the worst case scenarios about what Drew may have done to her. "What if you put his arms around him and he liked it? What if he misread things and thought you wanted to have sex with him?" she asked. Charlotte said she would have had to come clean.

Lulu finally told Charlotte that Drew could have hit her, stunned her, and could have driven off with her alone. "He could have easily sexually assaulted you or killed you. That is the situation you put yourself in," Lulu stressed, freaking Charlotte out. "The fact that none of this crossed your mind is proof that you need more supervision than I or your dad are capable of." Lulu also pointed out how many laws Charlotte was ready to break.

Lulu had another good point. Laws against predators existed to protect victims. "Women and children deserve to be believed, but when you throw a lie out there like this, it casts doubt on real victims and survivors," Lulu said. "I didn't think about it that way," Charlotte replied.

"This is time for you to step back and think about how things really are and the kind of person you want to be," Lulu said, as Charlotte cried.

A Sad Goodbye

Outside the Q boathouse, Danny was relieved to learn that Charlotte was fine, but didn't understand why she didn't have her phone. Rocco told him that he told Carly the truth and Charlotte was now in huge trouble. Rocco also informed Danny that Scout was with him when Danny sent the text.

Rocco was pretty sure that Scout wouldn't tell her dad. "Drew would be keeping an even closer watch on Scout, which is the last thing she wants," Rocco said. When Rocco went to leave, Danny thanked him for helping Charlotte. "I know things have been weird between us lately, but I know we can still rely on each other when it counts," Danny said.

Later, Charlotte found Danny sitting on the bench and told him they had to say goodbye because her parents were sending her to boarding school. "Rocco told Carly what I was up to. If he hadn't, we wouldn't be in this mess," Charlotte said. Danny wondered why Rocco would do that. "To impress Scout, obviously," Charlotte noted.

Danny tried to look on the bright side. At least her parents weren't sending her to Europe. "We ran special ops on Spoon Island. We can handle this," Danny said. The two besties hugged and said goodbye. "I'll be back," Charlotte said. "I'll be right here," Danny promised.

The Metro Court Gardens

At the Metro Court Gardens, Anna thanked Tristan for agreeing to supervise her mental health care for the WSB. However, she told him that was no longer necessary. Anna was happy that the WSB was going to let her seek treatment without their involvement. Anna said Tristan reminded her of another good listener with an accent on the other side of the world.

Gio took Emma out for a romantic dinner at the Metro Court Gardens where they could prioritize each other. Emma was surprised to see Anna there with Tristan Roberts, and wondered who he was. Gio sat Emma down so she couldn't watch Anna and noted that Emma didn't need to worry about every person who Anna spoke with.

Gio then opened up to Emma and told her that he felt bad that Trina was only willing to continue with their music careers as long as Brook Lynn was not involved. Gio understood Trina's feelings, but he still felt awful for his mother. Before he could say too much more, Anna dropped by the table to ask if Emma was keeping tabs on her. Emma insisted that they were at the same restaurant by coincidence.

As Anna was leaving, she ran into Valentin, who was looking for Carly. Anna hadn't seen her, but could tell something was wrong. "What's wrong is I'm a terrible dad," Valentin admitted. Anna sat Valentin down to talk, so he told her about Charlotte's escapade in Drew's car.

"I raised Charlotte in extreme circumstances and I was so proud when my clever and brave little girl could navigate them. I emboldened her and where did it take her?" Valentin asked, recalling how she had stalked Anna and gotten herself shot. "I've raised Charlotte with a distorted view of the world and her place in it. I may as well have put her in that car," he added. Anna did her best to convince Valentin that he wasn't the world's worst dad.
