General Hospital has discharged the character of Jacinda Bracken, played by actress Paige Herschell. The move appears to be storyline-dicated. After Jacinda spiked Willow's drink, endangering Wiley and Amelia in the process, the character lost Michael's support, and he asked her to leave town in today's epiosode.Good Golly, Miss MollyMichael and Jacinda in happier times | Image: ABCJacinda had the best of intentions. She spiked Willow's (Katelyn MacMullen) iced drink with "molly," a drug that took away all of Willow's inhibitions by acting as both a stimulant and a psychedelic. Jacinda made his ill-fated move after Willow took out a restraining order to keep her away from her children, Wiley (Viron Weaver) and Amelia (Sienna Goerisch). Jacinda informed Michael (Rory Gibson) what she'd done, but he wasn't pleased. Michael bolted over to see Willow and made sure that she -- and their kids -- were safe. After securing that situation, Michael informed Jacinda that her actions could have resulted in the exact opposite of what Jacinda intended. If Willow could have proved what Jacinda had done, she would have had leverage against Michael to take his children away from him forever. Michael handed Jacinda a solution that was in line with his Quartermaine heritage. He gave her money to send her away. Despite Michael being upset with what Jacinda had done, the two shared a tearful farewell. Hello, Goodbye View this post on Instagram Instagram PostHerschell appeared to be set for a short run in Port Charles as Jacinda was a "lady of the evening" who was paid by Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Portia (Brook Kerr) to drug Drew (Cameron Mathison), hoping that he would act inappropriately in public. The actress was invited back to the show as the writers paired Jacinda and Michael. He didn't judge her past as a call girl.Jacinda wasn't the first lady escort who reformed. Jacklyn Zeman brought to life the character of Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Spencer, who had worked as a prostitute in Florida before coming home to Port Charles to pursue a career as a nurse. Jacinda acted as Michael's alibi for the night Drew was shot. It came out in court that she was with Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) instead. Despite Jacinda not being able to help Michael, the two began dating. In April, Herschell celebrated her first anniversary in Port Charles with an Instagram post, which can be seen above. "Holy smokes! It’s been one year since Jacinda was introduced on @generalhospitalabc," the actress enthused. "I’m so grateful to this show for the work! Thank you to the amazing fans and the awesome cast and crew! One year! Holy moly! Jacinda- you continue to surprise me. 💕."How do you feel about Jacinda's abrupt write-out?
