General Hospital characters Jason and Spinelli aren't embarking on adventures in Port Charles as the latter is currently residing in Australia. However, their respective portrayers, Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson, are taking on new roles in an upcoming holiday movie!

Soap Opera Digest reports that Anderson and Burton have created and are set to star in an untitled holiday movie, which will be produced by Zero Gravity Management and written by Stacy Asencio-Sutphen.
For now, the film's story and title are being kept under wraps like a holiday gift with double-stick tape! However, we do know that it's a "holiday whodunit" and is described as a "quick-witted comedy."
The tale follows two unlikely partners (sounds like Jason and Spinelli to us!) as "they stumble into a mystery in a charming small town at Christmas."
"We have the best fans in the world," Anderson said, "and the constant question we ask ourselves is, ‘What more can we do to entertain them?’ When we came up with this idea for a series of holiday films, we knew we had something special.”
GH Origins
Burton joined GH in 1991 as Jason Quartermaine, the son of Dr. Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and Susan Moore (Gail Ramsey). Jason was conceived when Alan and Monica (Leslie Charleson) were having marital problems.
After Susan's death, Monica was initially hesitant about bringing Alan's love child into her home, where he'd be living under the same roof with her and also Alan and Monica's son, AJ (Sean Kanan).
Monica changed her mind, and Jason grew up knowing -- and loving -- Monica as his mother. In the mid-1990s, Jason was in a car accident that caused permanent brain damage. He recovered, but assumed a new life as Sonny's (Maurice Benard) enforcer, and he took the name Jason Morgan (Morgan was his late grandmother, Lila's, maiden name).

Anderson joined GH in 2006 as Damien Spinelli, a computer expert who helped Jason and other characters with knowledge of the Internet. Initially, Spinelli was a bit socially awkward. He would come up with unique nicknames for other characters.
Over time, he earned Jason's trust, which mirrored the real-life friendship between the actors. The two have a podcast, That's Awesome With Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson!, where they talk about GH and the soap world!
