NATAS Announces the 2026 Gold and Silver Circle Daytime Emmy Inductees

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the recipients of this year's Gold and Silver Circle Awards. The winners include a former General Hospital producer and Daytime Emmy-winning actress, a fan favorite soap hopper, a former host of The Talk, and more!

And the Gold and Silver Circle Goes To...

Gold Circle honorees have 50 years of experience in the TV world. This year's recipients include: Byron Allen - Founder, Chairman & CEO, Allen Media Group; Patrika Darbo (Shirley, The Young and the Restless; ex-Shirley, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Nancy, Days of our Lives), Francesca James (ex-Kitty/Kelly, All My Children; former producer, DAYS, Santa Barbara); James is also a director, and she won Daytime Emmys for executive producing All My Children in 1998, and two for producing GH in the mid-1990s. James also won the 1980 Daytime Emmy for her role as Kelly on AMC.

Another Gold Circle honoree has ties to ABC Daytime -- Meredith Vieira, an original host and the first moderator of The View! Vieira also hosted TODAY.

Silver Circle inductees (who have worked in TV for 25 years) include: Stephen Brown - EVP Programming and Development, Fox Television Stations, and Rubin Ervin - Announcer/ Warm-up Host. Ervin's credits include The Kelly Clarkson Show and To Tell The Truth.

According to NATAS, "the Gold and Silver Circle Society recognizes industry leaders who have demonstrated enduring contributions to television. Inductees are exceptional professionals who have performed distinguished service within the television industry, setting standards for achievement, mentoring, leadership and professional accolades for 50 or 25 years, respectively. They represent the best and brightest in the industry."

"This year's Gold & Silver honorees are recognized for their continued exceptional contributions to our television industry," Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS, said in a statement. "We are proud to honor a class of honorees from diverse career paths across many daytime genres. Their impact is evident in programming every day, inspiring generations and enriching the lives of countless viewers."

Genie Francis (Laura, GH) is set to receive the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be a single ceremony in 2026, produced by NATAS Productions. Adam Sharp and Lara Gates are executive producers, with Leon Knoles returning to direct for a fifth straight year. Rachel Schwartz serves as Head of Daytime, and the firm of Lutz & Carr, LLP, provides accounting services for the competition.
