General Hospital exes Willow and Chase have been spending lots of time with one another of late, something multiple people have taken notice of. Brook Lynn and Tracy don't like it at all, while Michael loves it, but for nefarious reasons. But what about Willow? Are her motives with Chase on the up and up?
A General Hospital fine line

There was a time when Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Chase (Josh Swickard) were the ultimate meet-cute Port Charles pair. There was no indication that Willow would turn out to be one of the soap's craziest characters in years. Instead, she was just the sweet third-grade teacher who grew up in a cult and gave her cult leader's baby up for adoption.
A lot has happened over the last eight years to change Chase and Willow's dynamic, including marriages to other people. In Willow's case, that would be multiple marriages. Willow already cheated on Chase with Michael (Rory Gibson). Then, she cheated on Michael with Drew (Cameron Mathison). Now, she is thisclose to circling back to the beginning and cheating on Drew with Chase, something Michael is encouraging in an effort to ruin Willow's life and get their kids away from her.
As for Willow, according to Katelyn MacMullen, she just wants to do the right thing in her own way. While she is keeping her husband in a wheelchair after shooting him last fall, Willow still thinks she is doing good in the world via congress. That's why she was so taken aback when Brook Lynn warned her to stay away from her husband.
Innocent Willow?

"To Willow, that felt like it was coming out of nowhere," Katelyn MacMullen told Soap Opera Digest. “She feels like she and Chase are just great friends and so she didn’t understand where Brook Lynn was coming from and was a little taken aback by it. Especially because she’s been helping them adopt the baby...She’s showing that she’s invested in their family unit!"
Even Willow's offer to make Chase her congressional chief of staff is out of the goodness of her heart, according to MacMullen. She truly doesn't see anything inappropriate about it at all.
"She’s motivated by guilt, for sure," MacMullen said, referring to the fact that Chase was demoted because he tried to help prove she didn't shoot Drew, although she did. "Plus, if he works for her, he can make more money and have more stable hours, and she’ll have someone she trusts on her staff. It’s a win-win in her eyes."
While Willow sees this as a win, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Tracy (Jane Elliot) do not. Will the pushback from Chase's wife and grandmother-in-law cause Willow to pursue a "friendship" with Chase even more? Time will tell...
