General Hospital character Cassius is juggling a lot of secrets right now. With Jenz Sidwell on the lam, Josslyn and Liesl being held captive, and Cullum being a big threat, the walls could soon be closing in around poor, dead creatmed Nathan's twin!
Will Cassius Conclude or Continue

GH top scribes Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte previewed to Soap Opera Digest in a Summer 2026 preview that Cassius "risks a clean getaway to say goodbye...his 'life' as Nathan comes crashing down, and we’ll learn whether his masquerade has changed him for the better.”
Is Cassius truly headed off the canvas, though? On paper, Cassius may never have been a long-term character, and stories are written in advance. But surely, the team at GH has likely observed that Paevey has been turning in a series of terrific performances as Cassius, a man who assumed the life of his late twin, whom he never even met.
There's no one with whom Paevey's Cassius doesn't have chemistry. He broke our hearts when Cassius broke Liesl's heart by telling her that he wasn't Nathan, but rather his twin, whom Liesl was told had died at birth.
"Nathan's" pairing with Lulu (Alexa Havins) has taken on a whole new meaning now that it's not truly Maxie's (Kirsten Storms) husband who is paired romantically with Maxie's bestie.
Cassius is derived from the Latin word "cassus," which means empty, vain, or hollow. Ouch.
Again, on paper, perhaps that's what Cassius was supposed to be, but we've seen Paevey bring a humanity to Nathan's twin. He may not be a star baseball player (one of the clues that raised our eyebrows about his true identity), but Cassius has been a kind and loving "uncle" to Nathan's son, James (Gary James Fuller).
Liesl blasted Cassius for setting her grandson up for heartache. The GH scribes also teased that Cassius is going to be leaving behind something: "His legacy will not be determined so much by his own decisions, but by the choice of someone he leaves behind." That could be a couple of different people!
Soap Central had a theory that Cassius only thinks that he's Cassius, and an earlier switcheroo resulted in the twins being switched, and we'll eventually learn that "Cassius" is truly Nathan. For better or worse, the story doesn't appear to be going in that direction.
Christmas Moose and Squirrel

No matter what happens with Paevey and GH, the actor will continue to be seen on our screens. Great American Family has announced that the GH fan favorite is going to be filming Christmas at Moose Lake, an original Christmas movie, which will premiere as part of the network’s flagship Great American Christmas franchise.
Christmas at Moose Lake stars Britt Robertson (Tomorrowland), Paevey, Kevin Dillon (Entourage), and Natasha Henstridge (The Whole Nine Yards).
“Welcoming Ryan Paevey to Great American Christmas is especially exciting – Ryan and I have a long-shared history of making audience-favorite films, and I know first-hand the warmth and authenticity he brings to each role," says Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media.
Christmas at Moose Lake tells the story of Alyssa Dawson, Robertson's character, a New York-based professional, who returns to her family's lake house for Christmas, following a breakup, only to find herself navigating unresolved grief, evolving family ties, and the pull of long-held traditions.
When Alyssa reconnects with Sean (played by Paevey) – a thoughtful visitor with a meaningful connection to her history – a misplaced engagement ring sets off a heartfelt journey that leads Alyssa back to what matters most: love, belonging, and the courage to embrace new beginnings.
