General Hospital's Rocco has been found. But Rocco's not happy. And Charlotte was almost kidnapped, but Danny took care of things. And Carly and Lucas? They're about to break into Wyndemere. Cassius is just trying to do the right thing. Jordan is screwing everything up (of course, she is). And Sidwell, well, he's become Willow's very own Valentin, but not in a good way. But now she's at the police station because Brook Lynn lost her mind. And Britt? Oh boy. Britt. Where do we even start?
Perhaps Liesl Obrecht summed it up best the day Rocco asked her to describe her daughter. "My Britta is...a mess," Liesl sighed. And oh, was she correct. But we like her that way. And that's where our deep dive dig with our two scoops begins.
Hot Mess Britt...Well, At Least She Wasn't Poisoned

Britt Westbourne gets a bad wrap. A real bad wrap. And maybe she once deserved it. Maybe she even still deserves it, but not to the extent that she is getting it. Should you steal someone else's embryo to trap another man? Of course not. That was an awful thing to do and Britt knows it. And of course, she doesn't regret it because Rocco is alive. We're pretty sure that Dante and Lulu are happy about that part, as well.
However, what Britt did was minor compared to some of the things soap characters have been doing for years and then becoming respectable members of society. The town mobster is beloved by the mayor and funds hospital wings. He's also an all-around family man beloved by fans and has done so much worse than stealing embryos. On a scale of 1 to 10, that's about a 2 in the realm of soap bad actions, but Britt is often treated as the devil incarnate.
Should Britt have given in to Rocco and taken him out of the country without his parents' permission when she had a target on her back? Absolutely not. But again, this act was child's play compared to what other soap characters manage to get away with both on-screen and with the fandom.
We will admit we are a little surprised when Britt's return would involve a Rocco story when she hadn't mentioned him much in years, but with Rocco now being a teen, revisiting his origin story seems to make sense. And while having a relationship with the teen version of the embryo you stole might be a bit weird, Finn Carr and Kelly Thiebaud make for excellent screen partners and we can't get enough of them.
While Britt does have a multitude of fans, she also has her fair share of detractors who see Britt as manipulating Rocco, but there have been countless scenes of Britt telling Rocco to stay away from her. He just wouldn't, so she couldn't resist becoming friends with the baby she grew and gave birth to. No matter the circumstances behind Rocco's birth, it's only natural that she will feel a pull toward him, but she didn't target him at all.
Remember, Britt was all set to leave town twice without even saying goodbye to Rocco, but he wouldn't let her go. The first time she was ready to skip town, he followed her and shot Cullum. The second time, she stupidly allowed a teenager to talk her into taking him on the run. Not a smart move at all, but it doesn't make Britt evil. It just makes her...a mess.
And that is why we love her. She is not all good. She is not all bad. Britt is complicated, multi-layered, and yes, she can sure be a Britch, especially when Lulu is around. And that is part of what makes her so fun. Since it's a pretty good bet she's not going to die from Huntington's Disease any time soon, we look forward to seeing what she does with her new lease on life. And yes, we think she should leave Rocco alone for a bit. But that doesn't mean we don't still love her.
Poor, Poor Rocco

And we love Rocco, too. How can one not love Rocco? He's so sweet, earnest, and loyal that he will be every woman's dream one day. And Rocco even shot a man, proving he will defend you if he has to.
We will admit that his pull toward Britt is a little weird, but we can also see things from Rocco's teenage point of view. While his parents created his embryo, Britt chose the one that would become him to give birth to. He knows Lulu and Dante are his mom and dad, but he wanted to know about this flawed woman who did a terrible thing, but also brought him into the world. And it turned out, he liked her.
And because Rocco liked Britt, he ended up in the right place at the right time to save Danny's dad, but the wrong place at the wrong time to save his own immediate sanity. And now his parents ruined his tropical island vacation, so the Metro Court pool will have to do...eventually.
As an aside, it's pretty clear that Dante is the one who turned in Britt, but did he do it to punish her or to protect her? Maybe he just didn't want to leave her as a sitting duck who could get killed at any moment. And it's a good thing too because Britt was about to inject herself with some poison.
Danny Was Dumb, But Danny Came Through

Back in Port Charles, Rocco's brother and sister aren't faring very well either. Of course, Charlotte was going to eavesdrop on your conversation with Laura, Lulu. Do you not know who your daughter is yet? So, it came as no surprise when Charlotte immediately told Danny that Rocco was the one who shot Cullum, which in Danny's mind meant Jason could now walk free. He didn't think much about what might happen to Rocco.
But Charlotte did, and she did not want Danny trading their brother for his father, so she decided she wasn't speaking to him. That's because Charlotte is her own young woman and will reach for the pen to stab the goon before you can blink. But Danny came along with a laptop and saved the day because when it comes to Cullum, protecting yourself with a laptop is absolutely the way to go.
They Ride at Dawn

We've been waiting for months for Carly to reveal her big Valentin secret to...somebody, anybody who has been a part of her life for years. While Sonny's reaction is what we're really waiting for, we got a little appetizer when she informed Lucas. Between a sting operation, getting shot at, learning his niece is a WSB agent, and hearing that his sister has been harboring an international fugitive and sleeping with him, Lucas is sat.
He wants all the juicy details about Valentin, but he knows they need to save that for another wine night. Instead, Bobbie's kids are going to break into the castle if they don't hear from Charlotte's Papa soon. Time's a ticking, Valentin.
Anna Devane

That's it. Just Anna Devane. She is back. She knows what she has to do. She is playing it right. And she'd better hope that Felicia listens to her own words. With Anna, sometimes what sounds like they can be someone's delusions, are actually real.
We're not sure how Anna knows that Nathan is not Nathan, but it appears she is onto Cassius...and frankly, Felicia should be too at this point. Would Nathan really fall for Lulu and choose her over Maxie, going as far as sneaking makeout sessions in public?
And what about that conversation that Felicia just had with Cassius in Nina's apartment? Think Felicia. Anna is right. And if Anna is right, that means she has been right all along and you all left her to linger in a French mental institution for months for no reason.
When this is all over and Josslyn is able to prove that Anna has been telling the truth all along, we hope she has some super apologetic family members. Just sayin'.
Blink and You Miss It

And finally, we have Miss Willow. Oh, Willow. How are you somehow mixed up in every single Port Charles mess? You just couldn't be the happy little adulterer who shot her husband got away with it. Nope. Willow had to become a congresswoman after injecting her husband with a paralytic drug, courtesy of Jenz Sidwell.
Now, Sidwell lives in her house like a common Valentin Cassdine (don't tell that dummy Jordan), she's managed to anger Cullum due to the Jack Brennan situation, she has Tracy and Brook Lynn gunning for her as she continues to bat her eyes at Chase, and she's managed to get herself involved with Jordan's car crash story. That's...a lot.
And Drew? Well, if you were wondering if he was going to wake up a new and improved better man, we think we have our answer. From the blink of it all, he's just getting started.
Till next week, Scoopers, when we hope Valenitn finally finds Z...or is that Dr. Zee?
