You only live once, right? That's what the women of General Hospital seemed to say this week, especially one particular woman who shocked everyone — including herself — with pastries. (Aiden would love her.) Amazing what meeting a mysterious Australian in a bar can do before testing to see if he's a crackerjack kisser and retiring to his (fancy) hotel room. GH HR (aka Aunt Stella) is certainly impressed.
But Britt wasn't the only woman throwing caution to the wind this week and living to tell about it with a smile on her face. Some even had scowls on their faces, but we'll get to Josslyn (and Willow) later.
Mysterious Australian Coming in For the Save

We'll give Britt credit in that she knew she'd made an a$$ of herself with her co-workers at the Brown Dog before "Crackerjack" even gave her a second look, but that's all in the past now. Because "Ding-Dong, the Britch is Dead!!!" At least that is what Britt declared after her four-times night (and morning, is that four total?) with her mysterious, nameless Brown Dog stranger.
So, what do we know about this guy? He's Australian, he can easily drop $100 bills in dive bars and he keeps a gun in his nightstand. That's not a lot to go on, but Australians in Port Charles are not an unusual thing, so fans figure he has to be a Jacks since the last Australian to arrive in town is likely a Scorpio. We have to spread the wealth between longtime families and characters.
But this is about Britt and we love this for her. She truly never expects to see this man again (although we are sure he will end up at GH needing a doctor and the OBGYN is the only one who can help at the moment), so she is just living her best life now that she can actually live a life.
While Elizabeth was the one who was blunt with Britt at the Brown Dog, she understands why Britt is Britt (at least this time around). The woman just thought she was dying for four years while some madman controlled her and injected saline into her belly every night. Then, she learned it was all a lie, only for Anna Devane of all people to then lure her into the woods and try to execute her on a tarp. Then, she had to break up with her boyfriend after that incident. Cut the woman some slack.
And we are glad that Lucas certainly has. He gets it. Four times! Lucas knows what that means. It means The Britch is dead (for now, let's not get too excited) and Britt gets to keep her job for another day. All in a night's (and morning's) work for Crackerjack. You go, Britt!
Carly Got Her Groove Back

Lucas gets it because there's no brother better than Lucas, either. (Yes, we love Lucas. Who wouldn't?) He is there whenever the women in his life need to talk. Whether it be Britt, Elizabeth, Aunt Ava, or Sister Carly, we can always count on Lucas. But this is about Carly. And that groove she got back.
Valentin landed in her attic nearly a year ago and that's the day she put some pep in her step. Lucas knew it and we could feel it too. For the first time in years (and years), Carly was truly out of Jason and Sonny's orbit and she was a brand-new (wonderfully refreshing) character. Sure, she was trying to avoid Sonny and Jason so they'd never figure out who was in the attic, but it has done wonders for the character.
So, while Carly got her groove back, we are not quite sure what her emotional declaration to Valentin was supposed to be. We were expecting the 'I love yous' because Lucas has been asking Carly if she is in love with Valentin and she has been avoiding the answer. Then, after one late-night talk over wine in Lucas' living room, Carly ran to Valentin's to wear her heart on her sleeve and told him...he makes her happy.
Um, ok? We knew that, right? And Carly makes Valentin "deliriously happy," so we're glad we cleared that up, but those three little words...they can say them any day now. We're waiting...
Her Lips Are Moving...And Lulu Knows It

Willow really is quite an amazing woman, mainly because she has no idea who she is or who she wants to be. Except a mother to those children she has lost herself to hold onto. This girl spends so much time in survival mode that she begins to believe her own lies.
How else can you explain the gall of this woman to sit there and accuse Lulu of allowing the Quartermains to coerce her into writing a completely fabricated story when she knew damn well the story was true and the Qs had nothing to do with it. She really seems to believe the nonsense that Chase placed in her head. She recited it like a pro and had Lulu and Ric doing double takes. Also, for the first time, Willow truly has no idea what woman she is dealing with.
She might have Elizabeth completely snowed for some completely bizarre reason, but Lulu is not playing. She knows what Sidwell said, knows his demeanor when she was in the room, and knows that even with drugs, he couldn't come up with the tale that he told. Sidwell was in a confessional mood and couldn't wait to talk. That was a truth serum like no other, so Lulu could just sit there and roll her eyes at Willow. And perhaps be a little amused that this little minx constantly believes herself. It's going to be fun to see her unravel.
This Jacks Won't Put a Smile on Your Face

She won't even put a smile on her face. And maybe she should. Josslyn is way too young to be carrying around all this inexplicable anger. She is not the first character to lose a boyfriend or even more than one boyfriend at a young age. We don't see Trina walking around with a chip on her shoulder.
But Josslyn has a chip on her shoulder for Sonny that weighs about two tons by now. And there is no reason for it except that he cheated on her mother. Since her mother doesn't seem to care anymore and has told her to move on, Josslyn should really move on.
Even if you put aside the ridiculousness of her roles as a 23-year-old WSB agent and corporate CEO, Josslyn is a woman who needs to turn that frown around (or make it that scowl). She needs to join her friend group and go solve a stalker mystery because being the new owner of the Port Charles piers with a super spy education is just not cutting it. (We were willing to give her a chance at this WSB stuff after she was shot, but just no.)
Trina, Dump That Man

Trina threw caution to the wind when she got in that car with Quinn and instantly regretted it when she entered that apartment. We pretty much knew what was coming last Friday, but poor Trina didn't. And that's because she has one heck of a stupid boyfriend.
We know the plan was for Kai to be there when Trina arrived so she wouldn't have a chance to freak out, but the plan was also to sabotage Trina's car, which was just, so, so bad.
And that is why Kai needs to go. Any man who would arrange for his girlfriend to have fake car trouble so his best friend could lure her to a remote Airbnb is not a man who is dating material at this moment. Perhaps Kai needs to sit and think about what he did for a few months and see if Trina wants to talk then.
But anyway, Trina still has a stalker out there. He's her biggest fan. Or maybe it's a she. All we know is that the granddaughter of super spies Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio is on the case, so it's all good.
The Chases...Sigh

Oh, what are we to do here? We have one dumb man who refuses to see that his ex-wife is a complete lunatic who has so many lies floating around on her pretty little political head that she doesn't know whether she is coming and going. And we have one fiery woman who lost her groove when she decided she had to please this dumb man every minute of the day.
So, Brook Lynn, get your groove back, remind your idiot husband why he fell in love with you, tell him in no uncertain terms that you and your family did not force the daughter of Luke and Laura (Luke and Laura!!!) of all people to write a story, and reclaim your life. Or don't.
But it certainly doesn't look like Brook Lynn and Chase want a divorce, so maybe they need to put down the pens and hop the first flight back to Port Charles.
Should the Chases divorce? Should Josslyn learn to smile? Should Lulu wash that smirk right off Willow's face? Sound off in the comments.
