Under the Bus, Beep-Beep: General Hospital Two Scoops For the Week of September 14th

General Hospital's Nina Reeves is in Steinmauer, where her ex-husband, Valentin Cassadine, was living until last fall, when Carly Spencer donned a black wig and asked for some help. Now, Nina needs help cause Carly turned the ignition, not knowing that Drew already had the bus in reverse. He backed it right up over Nina and Willow is next. Sometimes you just have to learn your lesson, which means the chickens are coming home to roost for this mother-daughter duo, indeed.

Well, When You Put it That Way...

Perhaps if you and your daughter are behind shooting a man twice in the back, keeping him in a paralytic state for six months, and shoving him and his wheelchair into the lake to try to drown him, you might want to look behind you at all times. Because a big bus might come find you and back right up.

That's exactly what's happened to Nina Reeves and it's coming for Willow soon. When Drew described to Nina what Willow and Nina had done to him, it all sounded pretty terrible. For a minute, we could even see this bloodthirsty need for revenge, but then we remembered this was Drew and it was kinda fun to see Willow plug him in those flashbacks and then stab his neck after her acquittal.

But nothing was more fun than watching Nina finally lose it and grunt with all her might as she gave that wheelchair the old shove. She did it for all of us. And now she is in Steinmauer for it, so who will come to her rescue? From the looks of it, not her BFF...

Well, She Did Take Her Baby

Drew had another semi-good point when he reminded Ava that her BFF induced her labor and took her baby right from her womb one night long ago. But that is also ancient history...water under the bridge as they say. Nina and Ava have hashed that out countless times and Baby Jaime Somers is doing just fine now, splitting her time between her two warring parents.

So, Ava really wants to help Nina, but if she did, then they'd be trading places and Ava would be the one at Steinmauer. Ava can't have that, so she has to sigh and stay quiet. Nina did warn her to stay away from Drew. Perhaps she should have listened. Now, all she has is a tick bite and a one-way ticket to international prison if the truth ever came out...

Then, again, we still have no idea what the truth even is. Ava may not have been responsible for Jack's death at all. Oh well, maybe Sonny will get Nina out of this mess, because we are not sure her daughter will either.

Back it Up Some More...

Willow is definitely next and she knows it. Now that visit from Drew last week makes sense. If Willow tries to do too much to help Nina, then Drew might come after her, too. It's time to see if Jack was right when he told Nina that Willow would barely shed a (real) tear if she died. She'd just dust herself off and move on as if nothing had ever happened.

Will she do that if she calculates the risk and realizes that helping her mom just isn't worth it? She certainly doesn't want to end up behind bars after all she has done to stay free and keep her children. We think we are about to see who Willow really is. "Mom, who?"

The Other (Black SUV) Driver

Brook Lynn continued to be thrown right under the bus this week as she groveled and apologized for the awful crime of nearly being killed by Jordan. How dare she swerve out of the way and hit a guardrail because Jordan needed to kiss her stupid boyfriend while driving? The audacity! How gracious of Jordan to accept Brook Lynn's apology and then ask for a favor. We all love groveling and pleasing the people who nearly kill us.

But Brook Lynn's position as "the other driver" and subsequent bus-throwing, as Brook Lynn is maligned because up is down and down is up, is likely the catalyst for Willow's bus throw. Those feelings for Chase and Chase's feelings for Willow are about to come into play in a big way. Could it even bring Drew back into the Quartermaine fold...for now at least? Watch this space.

The Other Bus Driver

And then we have Josslyn, who threw Anna right under the bus to the WSB, but we'll allow it even if Emma won't. And that's because Anna wanted her to do it. If Anna hadn't told Josslyn what she needed to do, we'd be as angry as Emma. That's why we were able to see both sides at the Brown Dog.

Josslyn was sick of having to do her duty, which Anna persuaded her to do. Emma didn't know what Anna had told Josslyn, so of course she was furious. And that is what makes the rivalry between Emma and Josslyn so great. Both are sympathetic characters who mean no harm, but are two very different people with very different goals and places in their young lives. Those are the best kinds of soap rivalries, but this one is even rooted in history back to their childhood. Bravo to GH, as well as Braedyn Bruner and Eden McCoy, for making us love both characters.

The Teenage Bus Drivers

We also have a next-generation rivalry brewing between Cassadine cousins Charlotte Cassadine and Scout Cain. They are not enemies yet, but the factions are reforming. Charlotte might be impressed that Scout aspires to be a world-class liar just like her, but Scout will likely never be that good a liar, despite her Cassadine blood and Drew as a dad. Charlotte's dad was a WSB agent and her grandmother was Helena. Scout can't unmatch her.

Scout may have no problem lying to her dad so she can kiss a boy, but Charlotte is taking things one step further with an insane Lolita-like plan in which she hopes to catch some snaps of Scout's dad with underage Charlotte. GH has also made it clear that Scout really loves her father, as we saw Drew be human this week as he helped Scout with her homework. The more Charlotte pushes, the more we see someone being thrown into the lake...or under the bus, as the case may be.
