On January 21, Candace Owens revealed that she received a legal letter from TPUSA for harming the image of the organization since Charlie’s death. Candace Owens’ legal letter came shortly after TPUSA sent a cease and desist letter to Wolves and Finance YouTuber for raising questions on finances and security of Charlie on the day of his assassination.

Candace Owens has also raised several questions on TPUSA following Charlie Kirk’s murder in September last year. She even accused TPUSA of a cover-up in Kirk’s death.

The political commentator talked about the legal letter in her recent podcast saying:

“I feel like I should receive an honorary law degree. I feel like I'm an expert now on legal matters. I've learned a lot about legal letters uh just over the last couple of years, last three years maybe. I and I've definitely learned that there is nothing quite like your first high, right? That first legal letter that you get.”

She further called out TPUSA for sending her a legal letter and compared it to the girl who peaked in high school.

“But this this Turning Point USA, a cease and desist. Is that what we're doing? Is this the chapter that we are on? We're turning the chapter here to Lawfair. This is what's left. You want us to believe this is Charlie's legacy? In the future, Turning Point USA is going to be thought of as the girl that peaked in high school. You know, free market capitalism, open debate, prove me wrong. Now it's suddenly shut up and serve the new queen. That's what they want, right?”

Candace Owens said that its ‘gay’ of TPUSA to send out legal letters. She further added that they could have called her up to discuss the issue rather than sending her legal letter.

“It's very gay. You shouldn't do it, especially if you can just pick up the phone and call someone. People are open to changing their mind, open to being wrong. You just have to call someone. The vibe that sending out legal letter gives the internet in this day and age, it's changed. The vibes are changing.”

TPUSA sent a legal letter to Candace Owens over violation of disparagement clause

The political commentator had a previously paid speaking engagement with TPUSA, which Owens claimed she terminated under the provision. As Candace said in her podcast, the clause remained in effect for a period of time, such as 12 months after the contract expired in mid-December of last year. This condition restricted her from making disparaging or critical comments about its management.

TPUSA also accused Candace of continuing to harm the organization by disseminating false allegations or hints about its employees or leadership, including Charlie's wife and the present TPUSA CEO, Erika Kirk. Candace has constantly attacked TPUSA, saying that it was involved in, had prior knowledge of, or covered up circumstances surrounding Charlie Kirk's death at UVU.
