In the latest news, the film icon Robert Duvall passed away at the age of 95 on February 15. His wife Luciana Duvall confirmed the news via a Facebook post:

“Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.”

Her statement continued:

“To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything. His passion for his craft was matched only by his deep love for characters, a great meal, and holding court. For each of his many roles, Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented. In doing so, he leaves something lasting and unforgettable to us all. Thank you for the years of support you showed Bob and for giving us this time and privacy to celebrate the memories he leaves behind.”

Despite being married four times, Robert Duvall did not have any children.

At the time of this reporting, the reason for Robert Duvall’s passing remains unclear. Though several publications have reached out to Duvall’s family, there is no concrete evidence supporting a substantiated cause of death.

Duvall and his current wife, Luciana Pedraza, were married in 2005. Luciana is an Argentine actress and director who reportedly met almost a decade before their nuptials. The couple co-founded The Robert Duvall Children's Fund in 2001, an initiative aimed at helping the impoverished children in Luciana's home country of Argentina.

Robert Duvall’s impressive body of work over several decades in the business earned him several accolades, including an Academy Award win in the Best Actor category in 1983 for his standout performance in Tender Mercies. He also received four Golden Globe nominations, two Emmy nominations, and various other awards and nominations.
