Podcaster Joe Rogan shared his thoughts about his name being there in the Epstein files. On the February 10 episode of his podcast, he spoke to actress and comedian Cheryl Hines. During the conversation, Rogan said that his name was in the files because he did not go and meet the American financier. He told Hines:

“I'm in the files for not going. Yeah, I'm in the files cause for not going cause Jeffrey Epstein was trying to meet with me.”

Hines asked if he was glad, and Rogan said that he never planned to meet Jeffrey Epstein. He added:

“It's like, it's not even a possibility that I would have went. Especially after I Googled him. I was like, what the f*ck are you talking about? This was like 2017. One of my guests was trying to get me to meet him. I was like, ‘B*tch, are you high?’Like, What the f*ck are you talking about?’”

Joe Rogan said that if he had been someone who tried to impress rich and powerful people, he would have met Epstein. He explained that some people feel excited and important just by being around wealthy and powerful individuals.

He added that even if they do not want to become rich or powerful themselves, they still enjoy being part of that circle. Joe Rogan mentioned:

“They want to be around Nobel Prize winners. And because this guy was what he was doing was very clever in that he was getting all of these very powerful and very respected people together.”

What else did Joe Rogan and Cheryl Hines say about Jeffrey Epstein?

Joe Rogan said that Jeffrey Epstein liked to be around famous people. His group also included entertainers, intellectuals, and professors. Public intellectuals like Noam Chomsky also had ties with the financier. Hines commented:

“It is weird some people are really driven by that really love the parties and the invitations.”

Joe Rogan added that these people were also “blindly ambitious” and were willing to put aside the possibilities of what could go wrong about meeting such people. Hines went on to say:

“I mean, that's what Epstein was all about was manipulating people and you know, holding it over their head and getting them to do something.”

She said that people might not have been aware of what was going on initially. Joe Rogan said that they were lured in just as they tried to lure him in. He claimed:

“If someone got lured in like they tried to lure me in and they didn't do a Google search and also they're meeting with this eccentric billionaire supposedly who's just not politically correct. Oh, he's a wild guy.”

Joe Rogan said that many people wanted to meet billionaires because they hoped having access to them would somehow help them become rich too. He believed this was a natural human habit. He explained that even long ago, people wanted to stay close to the leader of their tribe. He said this kind of behavior was normal for humans.
