Taylor Swift has become one of the most influential pop icons of modern times. 2025 was a big year for the singer as she released her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, in October 2025, and was also recently engaged to legendary Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

In the latest news about the Bad Blood singer, Taylor Swift provided the music and narration for NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics, in which she showcases the American figure skater trio of Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito. The skating powerhouse has been called the Blade Angels: Three American showgirls on ice, and Taylor’s video highlights their respective journeys leading into their year’s Winter Games.

Once the clip was posted online, social media users were quick to react to the inspirational video made for NBC featuring Taylor Swift. One X user stated:

One X user was complimentary of the ad, but added a slight disclaimer:

Conversely, some individuals on social media did not share the same opinion. An X user shared:

Taylor Swift: Olympics opening ceremony appearance

Interestingly enough, this is the second time Taylor Swift has shown her support for the American Olympians at this year’s winter games. The iconic songstress made a surprise cameo at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony, in the form of a pre-recorded video intended for the athletes. She praised the competitors for their mental and physical strength:

"I just wanted to say thank you! Getting to learn your stories and see everything that you’ve sacrificed and all you determination and hard work and passion and everything that’s gotten you to this point where you’re so excellent at something, it’s just really inspiring."

She also added:

"I hope that this is an experience that you will cherish for the rest of your life."

In some overlapping news, the music video for Taylor Swift’s Opalite, the song that scores her figure skating video, was also released on streaming platforms on February 6, 2026.
