Anchor and Journalist, Savannah Guthrie, gave her first interview regarding the case of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, with Hoda Kotb on an episode of the Today show. Kotb explained how Guthrie sat down for an interview with her, which will air on March 26 and March 27. However, before the episode is aired, she wanted to share a message from Savannah herself on the 25th March episode of the popular show.

Kotb said, "Craig, Al , and Carson , as you can imagine, it was a really emotional conversation. We're gonna have the whole thing for you tomorrow and Friday, but first, we did want to bring you one of the moments from the interview where Savannah shared a message to anybody who may have information about Nancy."

In the clip that Hoda rolled, Savannah, who is also a main anchor of the Today show, is seen saying through tears.

"Someone needs to do the right thing. We are in agony. We are in agony. It is unbearable." She further says, "And to think of what she went through. I wake up every night in the middle of the night, every night. And in the darkness, I imagine her terror. And it is unthinkable, but those thoughts demand to be thought. And I will not hide my face. But she needs to come home now."

After the video is played, Carson Daly, who is another co-host on the show, asks Hoda how Savannah Guthrie is doing currently, to which Kotb states,

"There is a desperation and also a steeliness about Savannah."

Kotb further explains how, in the episode, she speaks about "how God's holding her hand." Savannah Guthrie is set to officially come back to work on the 5th of March.
