Streamer BasimZB apologises publicly for removing Kingsman from the $40k Marvel Rivals event.

Streamer BasimZB, who was the host of the $40k Marvel Rivals event, has cleared everything up with Twitch streamer Kingsman265, who was removed by him. The streamer was kicked out of his team on January 18 due to his behaviour towards the team and the event; however, on closer analysis, it was not quite the case.

Kingsman had suggested a different play to his teammates due to his experience with the game for a better chance of winning.

“Guys, I want to win the game, and I know what will work and what won’t work. I’ve played this game for thousands of hours, ok?”

He further explained how much he needed the money, and part of it would go to his tuition,

"I’ve been rank one before, I’ve been top 500 on every role. I’m very accomplished, I know what I’m doing, I’m not being egotistical about it, I’m simply stating the facts. I’m just here to win the tournament, I need that money, I’m f**king broke, I like money, and $3000 is a lot of money for me."

However, at that time, he had been removed from the game during the practice games. According to the team leader, Cece, he had been removed by Basim for saying “disrespectful things” about their team and the event. BasimZB had also asked Cece before removing,

“Basim was not having it. He asked me, and I was like ‘if you think so’. Lowkey, I didn’t want the disrespect either. I didn’t want somebody on the team who was constantly going to s*it-talk us to his chat.”

The entire situation blew up from there.

BasimZB apologises

Now, in the aftermath of the entire situation, BasimZB has apologized, saying that he shouldn't have removed him.

“I made a decision based off of haste and misinformation, but everybody in this team knew what was going on. The fact that nobody told me was… whatever, that doesn’t matter.,” Basim said during his stream.
BasimZB added, “If I could go back in time, yeah, wouldn’t have kicked him because he was getting gaslit. Me and Kingsman already talked about it. It did happen too fast. Regardless, there’s no excuse. I made the wrong decision in haste. I deserve what comes out of this, 100%.”

BasimZB also went ahead to showcase his conversation with Kingsman, where the two seemed to have cleared things up.

Cece had also come out to apologise on social media for her behaviour towards Kingsman after she started receiving backlash.

"I’m sorry I failed to realize that I need to take proper accountability on here as well. Many of you saw my replies and they were defensive, deflecting, and argumentative. I was busy fighting to defend myself and I’ve deleted them now because I realized what you guys really wanted from me was a sincere apology."

She concluded,

"Before Kingsman’s video went out I had already reflected which is why I didn’t realize YOU guys needed to hear it too. I’m sorry my Twitter fingers went first and not this. I tried my best to be ready as a captain, preparing a spreadsheet with various comps and playstyles. But I learned that being a team captain is more than strategies it’s about EVERYONE on the team. They all need to have a say."

Internet reacts to BasimZB's feud

The internet was on Kingsman's side, expressing that the only reason these apologies are coming now is due to the backlash the people involved are facing, questioning the sincerity of it.

One user commented,

"I still think Marvel Rivals needs to reevaluate their relationship with Basim. What would've happened if Kingsman was kicked out and people were not so generous? Cece, Zazza and Luciyasa would've had the last laugh believing they got a "chud" kicked out and lost him his chance at a higher education."

Another said,

"Almost two days after the incident and started to lose sponsors. Hope this clown never hosts another tournament again."

One person expressed,

"Wouldnt sh*t on him, he was fed sh*t info and tournaments are time sensitive, cant go around for days for a single person to investigate. He learned that prizes and "vibes" dont go together...and still took a stance to apologize with no excuses. Dude can do so much better in the future from this."

While one joked

"backtracking after realizing everyone was on kingsman side 😭 brev is just a simp and got exposed"

In a turn of events, Kingsman's team came seventh while the winning team won by doing the same play he suggested. Not only did the removal cause him to blow up, but he now has over 10,000 subscribers on Twitch and 110,000 followers on his channel. He also received an off-stream donation of $3000 to help with his tuition.
