Popular American actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld recently shared her future plans for her newsletter, Beau Society. In the 63rd issue of Beau Society, published on Friday, December 5, the Capital Letters hitmaker revealed that she wants to try something new with her passion project. In the lenghty write-up, Hailee Steinfeld shared that she began to question the future of Beau Society, or BS as she often calls it, after a friend asked her where she wanted the blog to be in five years.

She wrote:

“I had a friend over for dinner the other night. It’s cold up here (like, ‘feels like 4 degrees’ cold), so the fire was going, and afterwards, we curled up on the couch under blankets, sipping warm mugs of tea.”

Hailee continued:

“At one point, my friend asked me what I wanted Beau Society to be in five years, which made me feel all lit up inside. I know some of you have been with us since day one, while others are new (welcome!), but now that we’re heading into a new year, this feels like a good time to reflect.”

Steinfeld shared that she wanted her fans to be more involved in the writing of BS and to feel more connected to the newsletter.

“It’s important to me that you are involved as we grow in the new year. I always want to write about what’s lighting me up and highlight what’s exciting you, too. I’m currently thinking of ways to bring you more BS. So I’d love to know…”

Then she introduced a poll asking her followers what they would prefer the blog to be more about. The options were— personal essays like this one, movies/music/food/style, what you’re wondering: amas, conversations with friends, and behind the scenes at work and home.

More details on Hailee Steinfeld’s passion project

Hailee Steinfeld started Beau Society in 2024. According to the actress, BS was her comfort space where she shared moments of her life and her thoughts with her fans without any worries.

“Since the beginning, this letter has always been where I elaborate on moments of my life that I’ve never felt comfortable talking about in interviews — because I’ll be honest, I’ve been burned. My words repackaged. And when that happens, especially at a young age, it makes you guarded.”

She added:

“Here, in Beau Society, I can speak on my own terms and have full creative control over a business that’s being built from what’s in my heart and on my mind.”

Beau Society has grown substantially, with over 87,000 subscribers. Hailee Steinfeld recently shifted the newsletter to Substack.
