Who is Brooke Monk? All about the content creator featured in Shakira's latest Instagram post

Brooke Monk is one of the rising content creators on the internet, with nearly eight million followers on Instagram. The twenty-two-year-old TikTok creator recently uploaded two videos featuring Shakira, one showing behind-the-scenes footage and the second showing the actual results of them dancing to White Noise Heart.

While Brooke is famous for making videos with celebrities at this point, the excitement for the fans came after Shakira also uploaded an Instagram post featuring Brooke and her boyfriend, Sam.

The collab left fans both excited and surprised. A similar reaction was observed among fans a while ago when Brooke Monk uploaded videos featuring Millie Bobby Brown and Will Smith on her social media. The California-based influencer has a net worth of $2.3 million and ranks number forty-three on Forbes's top creators list.

How did Brooke Monk start her journey?

Speaking to The Good Boys Podcast about how she started her journey, Brooke Monk said:

"I remember, of course, the exact day I downloaded TikTok: September 4th, 2019. I had like 10000 followers in the first week or something, and my parents aren't huge fans of social media. I have to tell them. So I told my mom first, and she was like, "Okay," and didn't really know what it was."

She continued:

"Another couple days or so, or something. I have like twenty thousand followers, and I was like, "I have to tell my dad." And so I told my dad, and he was skeptical, but he was like, "Whatever. They just didn't look at it."

Brooke added that in the next two months, she would reveal to her parents that she had a million followers.

On social media, she is often seen uploading dancing reels to trendy music, as well as photos and videos with her boyfriend, Sam. She also recently ran the NYC marathon, moments of which she uploaded on Instagram.

As for her YouTube channel, she has ten million followers with over 4,000 videos uploaded till now. However, Brooke mostly focuses on makeup tutorials, workouts, ASMR, fun challenges with her boyfriend, and short videos on YouTube, keeping the content different.

When asked in the podcast about how she met Sam, Brooke Monk added:

"I like to take initiative on things. So naturally I DM'ed him because I saw him and I was like… I believed I messaged you (Sam), like, the exact words, like, "Hello, sir," with, like, the little smiley face. I was like, "That'll get him."

In 2020, Brooke Monk uploaded a video to her Instagram titled Meeting my boyfriend for the first time!! where she was seen with her dad going to meet Sam from Denver to Los Angeles.

The creator also appeared on CNBC's Marketing Media Money, where she revealed:

"I love having an audience, I love reading people’s comments, I love interacting with people"
