Episode 2 of 100 Days of Deception pulls Ga-gyeong deeper into the dangerous game of life and death as she gets involved with So-ran and the Korean independence movement. While Hideo is able to save her and she does get money, by the end, Philip is not quite sure about letting her be, considering she is now known as the live-in maid for them. At the same time, she also has the bullets, which she later sells.
Hideo, on the other hand, just wants to be trusted by his father, the Inspector General. Towards the end of the episode, when I was watching it, I also got to see the past life of So-ran and how she got involved in the movement.

100 Days of Deception Episode 2 recap: Hideo saves Ga-gyeong

100 Days of Deception Episode 2 starts where the previous episode left off: gunshots. Turns out, the person who got the gun while hiding it under the dessert was So-ran's husband. While Ga-gyeong somehow escapes, Hideo aims his gun at the man, but by the time anyone can catch him, he has run away.
When I was watching the episode, I saw them speculating about Ga-gyeong and whether she was involved with the man in some way or the other. But Hideo saves her once again by making it clear that she was the one who warned him and she is not involved in the same way.
Later, Ga-gyeong asks for her 100 won instead of 60 won because of the situation she had to face. But So-ran blames her for destroying everything. Ga-gyeong even returns the passport she stole and just leaves the place without any money, just to save herself and live a peaceful life ahead without getting involved with these people.
100 Days of Deception Episode 2 recap: So-ran's past comes to light

After Ga-gyeong goes, So-ran reveals to Philip that the man was her husband and she didn't have any idea whether he was alive or dead. The 100 Days of Deception Episode 2 also explores So-ran's past and her family's story. Her husband was taken away for taking part in a protest, while her daughter was killed as So-ran begged them to spare her.
When they threatened him that they'd kill his wife as well, he decided to tell the names of the people who participated in the protest to save So-ran. In the end, they burned many people alive even after he cooperated with them. So-ran ran away from the place and ended up in Shanghai and became a sniper. She also joined the movement and didn't know whether her husband was alive or dead for thirteen years.
100 Days of Deception Episode 2 recap: Ga-gyeong caught in another lie
On the other hand, Hideo is not leaving Ga-gyeong alone after she steals his wallet and pretends not to know about it. Philip and So-ran call her just to save her from the situation by saying that So-ran needs to be taken to the hospital immediately, as she is bleeding.
During their ride, Ga-gyeong starts talking in English to not let the driver know what they were talking about and says that Hideo only wanted to thank her for saving his father, another lie.
After reaching the hospital, So-ran decides to pretend that she has suffered a miscarriage, continuing the act they had planned to fool the others.
Hideo reports to the same Inspector General, whom he calls his father. The episode, on the other hand, also shows Hideo as he asks his father if he doesn't trust him, as the Inspector General pointed the gun at him when he just wanted to save him at Philip's house.
Meanwhile, Ga-gyeong decides to part ways with the couple, as she took enough money for the things she got and returns the rest of the amount, saying she won't be able to give the bag since she won't be meeting them again.
While Philip doesn't trust Ga-gyeong and wants to get rid of her, So-ran tells him that she hopes he never has to pick up guns or has to kill anyone. After reaching home, Ga-gyeong searches for the pawn ticket she found in Hideo's wallet, wondering what it's about.
On the other hand, Hideo arrives at Philip's home to send his condolences and then asks about Ga-gyeong, only to learn that she decided to quit after she got scared of the shootings.
However, Ga-gyeong and Hideo cross paths once again when she goes to sell the bullet and finds him there.
