100 Days of Deception premiered on October 10 and starred Kim You-jung as Lee Ga-gyeong, a pickpocket who is very skilled at her work. When watching the first episode, I came across many twists and turns as Ga-gyeong arrives at the Keijo Station and steals a wallet from Sato Hideo, who is an interpreter.
The episode also gives us a glimpse into why Ga-gyeong steals for a living and how even the smallest things can bring her happiness. She isn't working alone, either, as she has a partner who helps her carry out her tasks.
The episode revolved around the Inspector General, who was on Philip and So-ran's radar. But Ga-gyeong's pickpocketing becomes a problem when she steals a bag containing bullets, putting her in a dangerous game of life and death. Towards the end of the episode, she is held at gunpoint and asks for help.

100 Days of Deception premiere recap: Ga-gyeong finds bullets in a stolen bag

The 100 Days of Deception Episode 1 starts with a train arriving at Keijo Station and a man coming to pick up a woman as he hugs her. Soon, we come across Ga-gyeong, an excellent pickpocket, along with her partner, stealing watches, bags, rings, and much more.
As I watched the episode, I came across the Inspector General arriving at the station, who was welcomed by flowers. He is introduced to Philip and his wife. Philip is the Keijo correspondent from the American WWP news agency. Ga-gyeong keeps an eye on their bags, and once she gets the opportunity, she steals them. She enters the train and finds a man with a child in his hand, and without wasting any time, she steals his wallet.
Later, we see a man, who seems to be their boss, asking everyone to stand in line and hand over the things they stole. He then tells Ga-gyeong that she stole his money three years ago and ran away. After she was caught at Incheon Port, she promised to pay one won everyday. At night, Ga-gyeong opens the bag she stole, only to find clothes and a bag of rice inside. She also checks the wallet and finds just three won and the owner's ID card. But just as she is about to put everything away, she notices a hidden compartment in the bag and finds bullets inside.
100 Days of Deception Episode 1 recap: A plot to kill the Inspector General takes shape

Turns out, the person from whom Ga-gyeong stole the wallet on the train was an interpreter trainee for the government general of Joseon and is fluent in Japanese, Korean, and English. Later, she sells off that bag.
On the other hand, Philip and his wife are also seen plotting a plan against the inspector general as she collects a gun and decides to kill him for killing her daughter and burning many Koreans alive. She even planned to kill herself after killing him. As I watched the episode, I also got to see how Philip first met Ga-gyeong. They met three years ago in Shanghai, where she pulled a gun on him while he was holding cash in his hand.
Later, the Inspector General comes to meet them at their house, and Hideo is seen carrying a gun with him, which Philip found alarming. The Inspector General tells them that he has ordered some desserts, and they will be arriving any minute.
100 Days of Deception Episode 1 recap: Ga-gyeong asks Hideo for help
Not knowing anything, Ga-gyeong attends their house as a live-in maid and tells So-ran that she will give the bullets to her in exchange for 60 won. Ga-gyeong is clever enough to know that if they try to blackmail her, she can scream and alert the guests about them carrying bullets.
But this turns out to be a big mistake, as she soon gets involved in the Korean independence movement. So-ran asks her to wait. In the meantime, Ga-gyeong analyzes the whole room, checks the drawers, and finds an American passport. Without losing any opportunity, she steals that as well.
On the other hand, Philip tells the Inspector General that he wants to have a talk in private, and the Inspector General asks for the bathroom. While Ga-gyeong tries to hide from Hideo, he eventually catches her. He tells her that he is impressed by her skills but also asks her to return his wallet.
The doorbell rings again, and this time, a man arrives with the dessert box ordered by the Inspector General. However, he is hiding a gun under the box. After looking at the couple's photo in the house, he enters and points the gun at Ga-gyeong. She then leads him to the bathroom, where Hideo is. In the end, she asks Hideo for help and says the word "assassination." The screen soon turns black, and we hear a gunshot.
What happens next is something we will only know once 100 Days of Deception Episode 2 is out.
