The Village Barber release schedule: When do new episodes of the Korean reality show drop?

Fans have been waiting for Park Bo-gum's The Village Barber for some time, and it has finally started. The reality show arrived in January with a focus on Park being a certified barber in a village, running his salon.

Right in the first episode, we learn that the actor was properly trained and he even passed the written and physical exam. This means Park Bo-gum is now eligible to open his barber shop.

As time goes on, viewers become very connected to the series. While most reality TV shows are known for being loud or dramatic, this series is primarily about Park's daily work and interactions with people in the area, as well as with other cast members.

The Village Barber release schedule: When to watch new episodes?

Viewers have now seen the first four episodes of The Village Barber, so it is clearly time to ask when the next episodes will be released. As stated above, the show debuted on January 30 and is releasing weekly.

Friday is the day that new episodes of The Village Barber will be released, and thus the next new episode will drop on February 27th, 2026, via tvN and streaming services. Below we provide a complete release schedule for The Village Barber, featuring the one and only Park Bo-Gum.

As for streaming, local fans can watch The Village Barber on TVING, the official streaming service by tvN that also offers some of the most popular K-dramas of all time. While TVING is for those watching in South Korea, international fans can also watch the reality TV show through Rakuten Viki.

The platform also hosts Asian TV shows and users will need a Viki Pass (subscription plan) to enjoy Park Bo-gum's show. Four episodes are already out, with the next scheduled for coming Friday.

What happens in The Village Barber? A look at the main idea of the Korean reality show

The show features actor Park Bo-gum, who has a valid national license as a barber in South Korea, and through the creation of a pop-up barber shop called Bogum Magical in the small town of Muju County, North Jeolla Province, South Korea, has provided free or community-style hair cutting for local residents.

More importantly, it focuses on the spirit of kindness, warmth and spending quality time together in the rural community setting. Not only this, guests like Park Hae-joon and Choi Dae-hoon have also appeared to assist Park Bo-gum.

As the show continues, the trio of The Village Barber interacts with the villagers to provide them support and get involved in daily conversation. Interestingly, Park is really good with elders as we see him receiving kimchi from an elderly neighbor right on the first day.

The show becomes quite engaging when these three actors work together and interact with each other, which often leads to humorous moments. So far, fans seem to be enjoying the reality show.
