Dear Santa (2024)

Directed by Bobby Farrelly, Dear Santa follows Liam, a dyslexic boy who studies in the sixth grade, and whose parents are going through a tough time. He also has a crush on a girl he's too hesitant to talk to. To make life easier for him, he tries to write a letter to Santa, but addresses it to Satan due to his dyslexia. Satan does get his letter and grants him three wishes, but in exchange for his soul. Hayes MacArthur played Bill Turner, Liam's father.


Someone Marry Barry (2014)

MacArthur played Rafe in the film Someone Marry Barry. The film was directed by Rob Pearlstein and followed a group of friends who were tired of their friend Barry because they thought he was inappropriate. They try to marry him off, but their problems intensify when Barry manages to meet a woman who is basically the female version of him. MacArthur's character, Rafe, is one of Barry's friends, trying to get him married off. You can stream Someone Marry Barry on Prime Video.


Angie Tribeca (2016-2018)

MacArthur is perhaps best known for playing Jay Geils in Angie Tribeca. Created by Steve and Nancy Carrell, the show is a parody of police procedural drama, which aired for four seasons. Hayes MacArthur's character partners up with Detective Angie Tribeca (played by Rashida Jones), who is a 10-year veteran of the LAPD's RHCU (Really Heinous Crimes Unit), and they investigate cases together. The show is streaming on HBO Max.


Merry Happy Whatever (2019)

Created by Tucker Cawley, Merry Happy Whatever is a Netflix sitcom set around the holidays, and follows Don Quinn, patriarch of the Quinn family, as he tries to deal with all the chaos that comes with the season. Don has to not only take care of the usual concerns but also deal with other family events, which makes it all even more difficult for him. Hayes MacArthur stars as Don's son, Sean, who isn't considered bright and has just lost his job. You can stream the show on Netflix.

Mr. Mom (2019)

Mr. Mom is a sitcom that serves as the sequel to the 1983 film of the same name. While the film followed Jack Butler and he became a stay-at-home dad to his three young children, as his wife Caroline returned to work, the sitcom follows Caroline and Jack's daughter Megan as she returns to work after becoming a mother. Similar to the film, Megan's husband, Greg, becomes the stay-at-home dad to raise their two kids. Hayes MacArthur plays Gre,g while Andrea Anders plays Megan. You can stream the show on Prime Video and Apple TV.
