The Testaments prequel The Handmaid's Tale ran very successfully for six seasons
The Handmaid's Tale is based on Margaret Atwood's novel by the same name. The story is set in a dystopian world where women are seen as second-class citizens who are seen merely as baby-making machines. However, the plot follows the story of June, a Handmaid played by Elizabeth Moss, who joins a class of Handmaids who are rebelling against this system.
The first season was released back in 2017, with the sixth and final season releasing in 2025. The series spanned a total of 66 episodes, and concluded with the sixth season in 2025. The show became so popular that the seasons beyond the first season took the story beyond the original novel, and fans loved the whole series.
Now, with the release of The Testaments, fans get to witness the storyline take off, based on the novel by Margaret Atwood by the same name.
Fans only have to wait for a couple more months to watch the series unfurl on Hulu, with the show being scheduled for an early April release.
