Pluribus Episode 8 revealed more than its previous 7 episodes collectively could. If you haven't watched it yet, this episode will leave you thinking about so many things, because it did the same to us. There were especially a lot of questions about the protagonist of the Vince Gilligan show, Rhea Seehorn's Carol Sturka.

So, we rounded out 7 questions about her that might just leave you in the dark. But allow us to help you figure them out while you keep that thought train running. It is likely that this train will speed up with every passing day as the final chapter of Pluribus is coming close, which will drop on December 24, 2025, just a day before Christmas.

So, let us now take a closer look at what these questions are so we can think about them to find answers, just like the hive mind does.

These questions about Carol will activate 'The Thinker' mode for Pluribus fans

Is Carol in love with Zosia?

It has been established since the first episode of the Vince Gilligan show that Carol is going to be a lonely person after her love, Helen (Miriam Shor), died during "the Joining." But soon after that, the show introduces us to Zosia, whom Karolina Wydra portrays, who first became an accomplice to Carol and now, with the way she looked at her and hung out with her in the latest episode, she seems to be in love with her. Or maybe she just thinks she's

“so goddamn f*ckable.”

Just get to the end of the episode and you'll know.

Did she find the source of the virus?

The entire show has been focused on Carol trying to find a cure to reverse "the Joining." However, it may have escaped your notice, but finding the source of this virus has been of equal and utmost importance to the show. During Pluribus Episode 8, when Carol and Zosia are out there watching stars, Zosia guides her to different stars and planets. She mentions a planet called "Kepler-22b," which isn't really visible in sight. It might mean that Carol just found out about the source of the virus. Sadly, she can't do anything about it.

Has Carol accepted the world as it is?

With every new episode of Pluribus, we can see that Carol is trying to adjust to this new world, which she obviously hates. Now she is just sending golf balls through a mirror building and doing whatever she wants. And in the latest episode, Carol is simply getting along with the "hive people," especially Zosia. She even decided to continue her Wycaro story, and there's a twist about Raban that'll just twist your mind.

Is she trying to detach Zosia from the hive mind?

Maybe Carol really has fallen in love with Zosia because, after doing that “f*ckable” thing, when they were both making omelets for breakfast, Carol had an emphasis on pronouns. She wanted Zosia to use the term "I" to address herself rather than "we." She also did that earlier in this Pluribus episode, but it was during this particular scene that gives you a feeling that Carol was trying to get Zosia all for herself. Maybe she's just jealous of the hive mind now.

Is Carol finally impressed with the 'hive people'?

It might be that Carol is finally impressed with these hive people, and not just Zosia. Just look at how her face lights up when she and Zosia are sitting in this diner, which turns out to be a place Carol used to visit and that burned down quite some time ago. When she realizes that they built it from the ground up, she just doesn't have words to express how she is feeling in the moment. Well... we feel you, Carol.

Does Carol have a purpose in this new world now?

Now that Carol will continue writing her book in Pluribus, she might have a purpose that will help her adjust to this new world. Or maybe not, but that certainly makes her happy. However, we must not forget about her core purpose in the show: to reverse "the Joining." She is still adamant about doing that.

Will Carol ever give up finding a cure to turn the world back as it was?

With that last sentence in the point above, "She is still adamant about doing that," it is worth pondering whether Carol will ever give up finding a cure to reverse "the Joining" in Pluribus. Maybe she'll find out in the final chapter of this season. Or maybe we'll see that in another season, because if you haven't seen the episode, it might have set up Season 2 of Pluribus already.
