A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 has reached its halfway mark as the third episode of the HBO series aired this Sunday. The third episode ends with a setup for an exciting second half of the Game of Thrones spin-off. The first three episodes build up to the last frame of this episode, as Egg finally reveals his identity as Prince Aegon V Targaryen.

The stage is set for the fourth episode of the HBO series, which will see Aerion challenge Ser Duncan the Tall for a Trial of the Seven, where Dunk and Aerion have to find six other knights to fight the other team. Unlike the three A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 episodes, the fourth one is dropping earlier this week, thanks to the Super Bowl.

While the episode begins on a rather charming note, the main plot of the episode kicks off in the second act as Dunk and Egg enjoy the jousting tourney. There, Prince Aerion Targaryen is jousting with Ser Humfrey Hardyng, where the former mortally wounds the latter and his horse. This turns the public against the Targaryen prince, as there is a violent clash between the people and the Kingsguards.

Later that night, Egg is attending Tanselle's puppet play, in which we see her character slay a dragon. Aerion is also there, and he takes it personally and breaks Tanselle's fingers. Upon receiving Egg's warning, Dunk intervenes and strikes Aerion, causing the latter's loose teeth. The Royal Prince has his guard hold Dunk and orders them to hold Dunk on the ground to curb stomp on the hedge knight.

Egg intervenes on time and saves Dunk, revealing himself as Prince Aegon V Targaryen, ending A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1, Episode 3.

As of now, three episodes of this series are available on HBO Max. Catch them on the OTT platform before the fourth one streams this Friday.
