Magnolia Network's Home Reimagined's latest episode saw Vern Yip opening up about his recent projects.One of the exciting projects involved Beta and her father, Terry. They were working on turning a 1928 schoolhouse into their home. They opened up about how they came across the schoolhouse and decided to work on it. During Vern's visit, he learned more about Beta, Terry, and the schoolhouse.While sharing his thoughts on the 1928 schoolhouse, Vern confessed to the cameras:"There's a real timeless simplicity to the design. It's got beautiful brick. It's got beautiful roof line. It's got beautiful windows, exactly the right proportion. She and her father, Terry, worked on turning it into their home."What I love most about this renovation is it's ather-daughter project. She's doing this with her dad, Terry, and they started work over a year ago. So I'm excited to see what they've been up to and how I can help," shared Vern.Soon, Home Reimagined's Vern met Beta and her father, Terry. He told them that the schoolhouse was incredible. They purchased it for $112,000, and Beta was turning it into a home. It was expended on over 1000+ square feet.While discussing how Beta was going to turn it into a one-bedroom and one bath, Vern talked about the design. He noted that there were beautiful bricks, roofline, windows, and everything about it was really well done.He asked Beta and Terry whether they had known about the structure for a long time. Terry responded that he used to drive by that road on his bicycle when he was young. He had always seen and liked it. He mentioned that they were lucky enough to finally have it.Terry noted that they were renovating the school on their own. He also shared that doing that with his daughter meant a lot to him. It was because they got to spend a lot of time together while working on it."A lot of the people in the area are of Norwegian or Scandinavian descent. There's stories that if you were caught speaking Norwegian outside on the play ground you'd actually get sent back inside because they wanted you to speak English and learn more English," shared Beta.Yern noted that by keeping the schoolhouse, Beta and Terry would become the next great chapter in history, and they were glad to save it.Later on Home Reimagined, Beta shared that when she went to art school, she moved to Minneapolis. After her graduation, she wanted to lead a rural life. That's why she moved back home. She noted that she had seen the school many times, and it really caught her eye.She loved the charm and the character that the school held.
