Adults Season 2 Comings and Goings: Guest stars, Who's returning and Who's not

Adults Season 2 cast: who is returning and who isn't

The first season of Adults ended with Anton stepping up and marrying Paul Baker to make sure Paul could stay in the USA after his visa expired. This led to them sharing a kiss, which turned out to be an unexpectedly passionate one. Paul and Issa are still together, but his feelings for Anton (which is mutual) will make things complicated in Season 2.

Teen Vogue has exclusively revealed who is returning to star in Adults Season 2 and who is joining the cast for the upcoming season. The main cast of the show is returning for Adults Season 2. Malik Elassal is reprising his role as Samir Rahman, one of the leads of the show. It is Samir's childhood home, which he now shares with his friends in Queens.

Lucy Freyer is returning as Billie Schaeffer, the overachiever of the group, who has been a close friend of Samir since they were kids. Jack Innanen is reprising his role as Paul Baker, Issa's partner who moved into Samir's house in Season 1, and now is part of the group.

Amita Rao is returning as Issa, the loud and energetic member of the group. Owen Thiele is reprising his role as Anton Evans, the affectionate one, who was Samir's college roommate and is now a close friend to everyone else in the house.

Teen Vogue's report did not mention Charlie Cox and Rachel Marsh returning for Adults Season 2 as their Season 1 characters, Mr. Teacher and Carly, respectively. We can thus assume at the moment that they will not be part of Season 2.

Adults Season 2 guest stars

As Teen Vogue revealed, Raven-Symoné, Susie Essman, Gaten Matarazzo, Zosia Mamet, Ben Marshall, Jake Shane, and Isaac Powell are going to star in Adults Season 2 in guest roles. Raven-Symoné, the That's So Raven star, will play Anton’s older sister. Susie Essman, whom you might know from Curb Your Enthusiasm, will star as the mother of a girl with whom Billie went to school.

The Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo will be playing the guy whom Samir gave his old fake ID to. It is yet to be revealed which characters Zosia Mamet, Ben Marshall, Jake Shane, and Isaac Powell will be playing in Season 2, but they are confirmed to be starring in guest roles. One of them is reportedly going to play a love interest.

Zosia Mamet is known for her performances in Decameron, Girls, The Flight Attendant, and Mad Men. Ben Marshall is known for his performance as a featured cast member of Saturday Night Live!. Jake Shane is known for his debut performance in Wishful Thinking, and Isaac Powell is known for his performances in Modern Love and The Franchise.

Adults Season 2 will be set two months after the final events of Season 1. According to co-creator and executive producer Ben Kronengold, the upcoming season will ask its main characters:

“How do you bicker and get through problems without losing track of why you love each other? When relationships change, how do you still continue to love each other as people?”

In the upcoming season, almost all characters will face challenges in their love lives and careers, and we'll see them figuring out adulthood when life gets tough.

Adults Season 2 premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 11, 2026. It will be released on FX and Hulu at a later date in August 2026.
