Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 brought back Manager Kim and his two strongest allies, trying to locate Min-ji. At the same time, Silent Cricket and Gang-chan are busy with their own missions that ultimately create problems for Kim as he is close to finding his daughter.
The synopsis of episode 5 of Agent Kim Reactivated reads:
"Manager Kim trades blows with the enemy agent chasing him, only to realize he is an old friend. Meanwhile, Min-ji attempts an escape of her own."
The latest chapter is packed with action as Manager Kim is desperately searching for Min-ji. At the same time, the story includes moments of laughter that perfectly fit into the ongoing plot.

Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 recap: Min-ji's childhood memory explains her bond with Kim
Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 opens by taking viewers back to 2014, shortly after Kim and his young daughter, Min-ji, move into a new house in South Korea. Han-su and Park Jin-cheol were also there and helped the father-daughter duo settle.
While the men are busy setting up the house, Min-ji quietly leaves for a nearby playground with a few children without informing him. Wanting a place to hide during playtime, she enters the Jeilwon Senior Welfare Center, where she eventually falls asleep.
By the time the little girl wakes up, the building is locked. So, Min-ji tries to find a way and climbs through a window before a kind high-school student notices her and helps her get home safely.
Meanwhile, Kim has been frantically searching every possible place, fearing something terrible has happened to his daughter. The moment he sees her again, relief overwhelms him, and he breaks down in tears.
Kim was scared for his daughter and told Min-ji never to disappear without telling him, and the little girl comforts her dad. This flashback clearly explains the emotional bond the father-daughter duo shares and what it feels like when they are separated.
Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 recap: Kim launches a relentless rescue mission as enemies close in
The focus shifts to the present in Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 as Golden Teeth finds Min-ji and asks his men to control the situation. When Kim arrives at his office, he confronts the men and unleashes all the combat skills that he once used when he was Agent Kim.
During the confrontation, Sang-man finally reveals everything he knows about the situation. Believing that his daughter may have been killed, Kim decided to kill everyone responsible if the information turns out to be true.
Elsewhere, Park Jin-cheol successfully slips away while Han-su retrieves Mole Cricket's body from the river. The two then decide to head separately toward the port in hopes of reaching Min-ji before anyone else.
As episode 5 of Agent Kim Reactivated continues, Kim finds another escaping thug, crashes his vehicle, and continues his pursuit toward the cold storage facility where Min-ji was kept. However, his quest is interrupted when the new Agent 66 arrives to kill him.
Still convinced that Kim murdered his older brother, Agent 66 challenges him directly. At the same time, Mr. Ju, his men, Han-su, and Jin-cheol all converge on the port. This way, the area turns into the center of an increasingly dangerous showdown involving multiple groups with conflicting goals.
Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 recap: Kim reveals the bond he shared with the original Agent 66
Since the new Agent 66 believes that Kim betrayed his partner and killed him, he desperately tries to eliminate him. However, Kim recognizes him and asks if he's 66's younger brother, Gang-seong.
The new North Korean agent is taken aback, and that's when we get another flashback into the past when Agent 73 and Agent 66 were great friends. During their training days, the two men were trusted comrades who respected one another, with the older agent even reminding Kim not to forget him after learning his surname.
Soon afterward, they were assigned to a dangerous mission with the promise that success would allow them to reunite with their families and receive a home of their own. The operation, however, ended in tragedy when the older Agent 66 suffered a devastating injury and lost his leg.
Kim was devastated by the loss of his only friend and even considered taking his life. However, the dying Agent 66 stopped him and urged him to keep living no matter what before taking his final breath.
The flashback ends with South Korean agents capturing Kim. Another memory later reveals that intelligence officials discovered the operation had actually been betrayed by Kim's North Korean superior, Ru Eung Ryeong, rather than by Kim himself. After hearing this painful truth, the new Agent 66 is forced to think about whom he believed.
Min-ji escapes once again, but Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 ends with a shocking twist
While Kim cleared his name and told Gang-seong the truth, Min-ji refuses to give up. Enduring freezing temperatures inside the cold storage, she waits for the perfect opportunity before trapping Golden Teeth inside and escaping on her own.
Kim then rushes to the cold storage, but Min-ji is already gone. She left a handwritten apology for her father, that becomes the only sign she was there. Outside, Min-ji briefly hears Kim calling for her but mistakes his voice for a hallucination after everything she has endured.
She climbs over the port fence and runs into the pouring rain while Kim desperately chases after her. At the same time, in episode 5 of Agent Kim Reactivated, Mr. Ju orders his men to search the entire area.
Mole Cricket also regains consciousness and learns about the ongoing situation. He figures out that Jin-cheol has emptied his wallet and bank cards. Han-su purchases an old motorcycle, while Jin-cheol continues traveling in an SMD vehicle.
Golden Teeth then reveals to his men that Min-ji is alive and they must find her. On the other side, Kim follows CCTV footage and asks the laundromat owner to help locate his daughter. And then comes the biggest shocker: Min-ji has unknowingly accepted a ride in Gang-chan's vehicle. This means that she's in greater danger now.
