American Horror Story Season 13 wrapped with an action-packed and high-stakes finale titled Devil of a Good Time.

According to TV Line, the thirteenth episode of AHS 13 opened in the aftermath of the Coven's attack on Mr. Nas in the previous episode. While Cordelia, Queenie, and Ben were prepared to attack the Devil from all sides, Mr. Phibes and the Rubber Man ambushed them, with the witches banished to hell for eternity.

The American Horror Story Season 13 finale opened some time after the harrowing events at the Apollyon in the previous episode, where Mr. Phibes geared up for the final sacrifice. Elsewhere, Mallory went back in time and discovered the Salem spell, which could defeat the Devil and banish him forever.

Here's what happened in the finale.

American Horror Story Season 13 finale: Did the Devil have a change of heart?

The American Horror Story Season 13 finale opens with Mr. Phibes doing the final ritual, which would take Satan to 100 years of age and complete his bet with God. While Mr. Phibes had lured 13 men as their final sacrifice, Mr. Nas shockingly saved the last man, stopping the monitor at 99.9. While Mr. Phibes was brutally thrown into the fireplace, Mr. Nas visited Cordelia in her personal hell, where she was tasked with euthanizing puppies for eternity.

Mr. Nas revealed he had decided to give up his bet with God, as he no longer had any desire to rule Earth. He freed his granddaughter from hell and transported her to a beautiful day in Central Park, even leaving his New York apartment for her. However, before leaving, the Devil warned Cordelia to prepare herself, as they will surely meet again. Elsewhere, Queenie also returned, as Ben revived her from hell.

Mallory has a plan to defeat the Devil in the American Horror Story Season 13 finale

Mr. Nas might have given up his deal with God in the American Horror Story Season 13 finale, but he was still the Devil and could not be trusted.

Believing they could still defeat the Devil, Mallory plunged into the bathtub and embarked on a journey through time and space. Mallory's journey took her to Salem, where she not only visited the ancestors to find a way to defeat the Devil but also stopped the witch trials altogether. Mallory learned a powerful spell from Sarah Goode, the woman responsible for capturing Dorian Gray in his painting. While Mallory had faith in the spell, she revealed it required the ultimate sacrifice of Ben, the 13th Antichrist.

While Ben was being chosen for the ultimate sacrifice in the American Horror Story Season 13 finale, he went through a major life change with Madison. After Madison and Ben became a couple in the previous episode, Madison gave birth to a baby girl, who was blessed by the Devil himself.

In the American Horror Story Season 13 finale, Mallory and Cordelia summoned Ben in Mr. Nas' apartment and asked him to sacrifice himself to defeat the Devil. Mallory revealed that Sarah Goode's spell would work if the 13th Antichrist sacrificed himself. This was brutal, as Ben had just become a father. But Cordelia assured Ben that Madison would understand.

In the final moments of the American Horror Story Season 13 finale, Satan arrived at the apartment and battled Mallory and Cordelia. The witches held their ground, revealing they would banish the Devil forever, taking away the pain and suffering from Earth. Ben eventually realized 13 was his destiny. He embraced his destiny in a final sacrifice, which trapped Satan in the Last Supper painting as the 13th guest.

With Ben's final sacrifice and the Devil defeated, the Coven remained in New York and made Apollyon their new home base. Fiona stayed back with Constance in New Orleans, who was thrilled by her newfound powers.
