Good news for the fans of Slow Horses as Apple TV+ has renewed the series for Season 8 after its 3 Emmy wins. The news came very early while Season 6 and Season 7 are still yet to be released.
Season 8 will adapt the ninth novel in the show named Clown Town, which was released in 2025. The eighth season will show Diana Taverner and Jackson Lamb in their most intense clash. Lamb will have to face one of MI5's deepest secrets after a failed blackmail attempt against the Park, and he will have to bring it to an end.

The creative director opened up about Slow Horses Season 8
Deadline reported that the creative director of the show, Jay Hunt, opened up about how Jackson and his ragtag crew of misfits will return in Season 8. She said,
"Slow Horses continues to charm audiences all around the world and I’m delighted that Jackson Lamb and his gang of lovable misfits will be back for an eighth season. Their acerbic take on the high-octane world of espionage is completely unique."
According to Hunt, Jackson Lamb will appear in another tense clash with Diana Taverner. She revealed that Taverner fights back after a plan to blackmail the Park fails. As a result, it will force Lamb to reveal one of MI5's darkest secrets and stop the threat.
The eighth season will adapt Clown Town, which is the ninth book in Mick Herron's Slough House series. Ben Vanstone will write the television script and also work as executive producer while Adam Randall returns as director.

In Slow Horses Season 8, Gary Oldman returns as the sharp but gruff intelligence leader, Jackson Lamb. He will oversee the group of disgraced MI5 agents working at Slough House.
Recently, the Apple TV+ drama earned major recognitions at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards and became one of the platform's most awarded series. The show collected 3 Emmy Awards and 5 BAFTA TV Awards.
Apple TV+ has not yet revealed the premiere date for the show's Season 8. The upcoming season will feature six episodes with further production and release details to be announced later.
Before Season 8 arrives, Season 6 will premiere next Wednesday on September 16 on Apple TV+. Viewers can also stream all five earlier seasons on the same platform.
Season 7 has also been confirmed, and it shows that Apple TV+ has committed to producing at least eight seasons of the spy drama.
