The trailer reveals that Lucky and her husband, Cary (played by Drew Starkey), stole money from his mother, Priscilla Matheson (played by Annette Bening), who happens to be a dangerous mob leader. What happened next unleashed a series of events that nobody saw coming.

As we hear Lucky say in the trailer, Cary goes missing soon, and so does the money. Priscilla catches up to Lucky, looking for both her son and her money. While she thinks her daughter-in-law must have done something to Cary to have all the money to herself, it seems that she honestly has no clue where her husband or the money is. But as Priscilla says,

"That's the wrong answer."

and we see that Lucky is going to pay for it. However, it is not just the recent incident that is going to hunt her. Something or somebody from her past has returned, and this time it has gone after not only her but her husband as well. Lucky has to do one last job so that she can finally close this dark chapter of her life forever.
