In the interview, he notes that he is eager to “go at it one more time” so that his children can see him on screen, as they have never seen him take on the “game”. He was in Baywatch for several years, after which he parted ways with TV. While speaking about his experience with Special Forces, Charvet notes that it was “an incredible experience” even though the distinct challenging aspect of the show is quite different from the ones that Charvet has done previously. Training for the show has not been an easy task for him. However, he did rigorous training in a studio with his son regularly. For the training, Charvet “had LED red light and infrared heat, which was about 105 degrees”. These training processes helped him to prepare. Physical challenges are undoubtedly a significant aspect of Special Forces. However, the “mind games” are on a different level altogether. According to David Charvet, even though he could prepare for the physical challenges of the reality show, the “mind games” were something that he could “not prepare for”. The distinct “mind games” that are present in Special Forces act as a propelling factor in telling “what kind of person” one is, along with the extent to which one can “endure”. Special Forces is set to drop on September 24. Viewers can stream the show on Hulu after it airs on Fox at 9 PM ET/PT.
