Streaming details, cast details and more of Beef Season 2
The new season of Beef is set to drop on Netflix and will be available for streaming on the global streaming platform just as its first season. The cast of Beef Season 2 includes Oscar Isaac taking on the role of Josh, Carey Mulligan bringing life to Lindsay’s character, Cailee Spaeny, Charles Melton, Song Kang-ho, William Fichtner, etc.
The very talented Song Kang-ho will be bringing life to Dr. Kim’s character in Beef Season 2. In the teaser of the new season, despite the short period of time during which Song Kang-ho can be seen, he leaves an impact. Some of Song Kang-ho’s other notable projects are Uncle Samsik, Parasite, The Drug King, A Taxi Driver, etc.

For the music of this season, the very talented Finneas O’Connell has taken the helm as the composer. For any TV show, especially ones that come with an intense depth as can be seen in this series, music plays a crucial role in delivering the emotions of the characters. Hence, it can be expected that Finneas O’Connell will be able to perfectly capture the essence of the storyline through the music.
The new season consists of eight episodes. Each episode will be half an hour long. All eight episodes of the series will be dropping on the very same day, that is, April 16. The storyline of this season focuses on the complications that arise in the lives of the two distinct couples. A Gen-Z couple, Ashley and Austen, work for Josh at a country club.
Ashley and Austin's lives take a turn after they witness a heated argument between Josh and his wife. Both Josh and his wife are millennials. The age gap between the two couples will also play a vital role in the storyline. Lee Sung Jin, while discussing about Ashley and Austen’s relationship and how slowly their dynamic will shift as the series progresses, notes that the two of them “have never been tested”.
Their initial thought process of being with each other is tested as “they are thrust into intersecting” with Josh and his wife. Austin and Ashley will be experiencing the shifts, which will take place after facing “real struggles” in the storyline.
Lee Sung Jin took inspiration for the storyline of Beef Season 2 from a “loud argument” that he heard from a “neighbour’s home”. He chose the setting of a “workplace” to further enhance the depth. As there are already many stories that involve a “boomer couple versus younger couple”, Lee Sung Jin shifts the storyline by bringing in a Gen-Z couple and a millennial couple.
Right after the release of the first season of the series, viewers were immensely drawn towards the new approach of storytelling, which can be seen in this series. Hence, after the announcement for the renewal of the second season, the intrigue for the next season of Beef rose exponentially. With only a few days left before the new season drops, viewers can tune in to the global streaming giant to watch the first season.
Lee Sung Jin takes on the helm of being the creator, showrunner, and executive producer for this series. Some of the other projects of Lee Sung Jin are Dave, Tuca & Bertie, The Real O’Neals, etc.
