Beef Season 2 will feature an original soundtrack by Finneas O’Connell

Series creator and showrunner Lee Sung Jin is returning with a new ensemble cast in Beef Season 2, which includes A-list talents like Oscar Issac, Charles Melton, Carey Mulligan, Cailee Spaeny and Youn Yuh-jung. The sophomore season of the drama series. scheduled to arrive on April 16, follows a Gen-Z couple, Ashley and Austin, as they get entangled in their boss Josh's unraveling marriage to his wife, Lindsay, against the background of their country club.

A new Beef calls for a new soundtrack, which will be scored by two-time Academy Award and 11-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Finneas O’Connell, the genius behind hits like No Time To Die, What Was I Made For? and Let's Fall in Love for the Night.

In an interview with Netflix's Tudum, Lee Sung Jin explained his decision to include Finneas O’Connell's original music in Season 2. Jin reveals that, unlike the freshman season, which featured an overtly aggressive beef, the upcoming season is more passive-aggressive, with a special focus on romantic & professional relationships, which goes perfectly with O’Connell's vision:

“Finneas is the brilliant mind behind most of the music that has soundtracked my personal life over the last decade, so it’s an absolute honor to collaborate with him on the new season...He has an incredible ability to make the darkest emotions sound so achingly beautiful, and I cannot wait for everyone to hear what he’s cooked up.''
