Jeremy Renner reportedly discussed his snowplow accident on the podcast Before & After with Lester Holt and revealed that the accident nearly killed him. The Guardian reported that his six ribs were shattered into 14 pieces, along with his lower pelvis. Both of his ankles and three toes on the left foot were broken, and one lung collapsed. Medical reports revealed that his rib also pierced his liver.

On New Year's Day in 2023, Jeremy was crushed under his own snowplow that weighed 14,000 lb. According to him, he almost died, but in reality he didn't. In the Before & After with Lester Holt podcast, Marvel's Hawkeye shared his snowplow accident and said that it had almost killed him. On New Year's Day in 2023, Jeremy Renner faced a life-threatening accident on a frozen driveway in the mountains near Lake Tahoe. He revealed that on that morning he was not a celebrity but a man snowed in with his family after a massive storm.

Jeremy recalled that on that day he was operating a snowcat, which weighs about 14,000 pounds, and suddenly he slipped from the moving snowplow and fell beneath its tracks. The machine crushed his ribcage, broke nearly 40 bones, and left him severely injured. He said,

"I'm just a piece of driftwood under this thing, right? The first thing was just hitting my head on the ground and being slammed."

In Before & After with Lester Holt, Jeremy also revealed that he felt like being trapped between steel and stone with no relief from the crushing weight. He explained that the six wheels of the snowplow rolled over him in sequence, and as a result, he felt he was being run over multiple times.

The star mentioned that the first impact was the most shocking because everything was crushed at once, but the following moments felt as though the snowplow would stop. He recalled that he screamed when he saw his left eye hanging out while his right eye was still intact, and his legs twisted in unnatural directions.

Jeremy Renner recalled the moment his nephew came to his side after the incident but then went away. His nephew's absence made him feel lonelier than he had ever felt. He admitted that if death was near, the thought of dying alone was unbearable.

After the snowplow accident, Jeremy's six ribs shattered into 14 pieces, along with three breaks in his lower pelvis. The Guardian reports also revealed that his left tibia was fractured and his left wrist was damaged. In addition, he broke three toes on his left foot, along with a fracture of the right clavicle.

In Before & After with Lester Holt, Jeremy revealed that his right shoulder blade was cracked and his eye socket came out. One of his lungs was collapsed, a deep cut marked the back of his head, and a rib pierced his liver.

Jeremy described his accident as the most intense experience anyone could ever have. He said the moment was like the strongest rush of adrenaline. He explained that everything stopped for him when the accident took place. His survival became a story not only of physical endurance but also of clarity about what truly matters when life is reduced to one breath at a time.
