Ted Lasso Season 4 will premiere tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. ET exclusively on Apple TV. Before the new chapter unfolds, let's explore the previous incidents shown in the series.

The first chapter tells the story of an American football coach named Ted Lasso who became famous after helping a small college team win a big soccer tournament. Soon after, AFC Richmond's new owner, Rebecca Welton, hires him as the coach. At the end of season 1, Ted promised Rebecca that they would work hard together in the next season to win promotion and ultimately aim for the Premier League.

The second chapter unfolds with the accidental death of Earl Greyhound during a penalty kick. Earl’s sudden death ignites a storm across social media and intensifies the pressure on AFC Richmond. After the tragic incident, the club hires sports psychologist Dr. Sharon Fieldstone to help Dani overcome his trauma of killing Earl during a penalty shootout.

In the season finale, Sam Obisanya stays at Richmond instead of accepting a big offer from a Nigerian club. Meanwhile, media personality Keeley Jones launches her own PR agency while Ted deals with his mental health more openly with ongoing guidance from Dr. Sharon.

In season 3, Richmond experiences early difficulties and tense rivalry with Nate at West Ham. As the season progresses, Nate finds redemption and returns to the coaching staff. At the end, Ted chooses to go back to Kansas to live with his son after leaving his club under the steady leadership of his trusted colleagues.

The first episode of Ted Lasso Season 1 begins with Rebecca taking control of a struggling Premier League club, AFC Richmond, after her divorce settlement. She wants revenge on her ex-husband, who cheated on her many times but was never held accountable. She plans to destroy the team because it was the only thing her ex truly loved.

She hires Ted Lasso, who recently led an NCAA Division II team to a championship without any prior knowledge of soccer. Ted arrives in Richmond with his assistant, Coach Beard, and experiences hostility from the players and sharp criticism from sports reporters.

In episode 2, Ted brings Rebecca a shortbread as a present after joining the club on his first day. Rebecca rejects Ted's friendliness but enjoys the biscuits. As the episode progresses, Ted notices that the grumpy captain of the team, Roy Kent, has a clash with the team's arrogant striker Jamie Tartt. Ted throws a birthday party for one of the team members, Sam Obisanya, even though the team lost one game.

Jamie Tartt has a model girlfriend, Keeley Jones. She and Ted actually become fast friends because they're kindred spirits. She's really nice and funny too, and their friendship gives Rebecca an idea for her first evil plan. While he's feeding her a burger, she hires a photographer to take scandalous pictures of them, hoping Tartt will get mad and it will break up the team. But Keeley gets a hint of this before they go to print, and as an influential rich person, they go to Rebecca for help. After this, Keeley starts hanging out with Rebecca more, and they kind of become best friends.

Now the football is not going well, and Ted becomes well acquainted with the English term 'wanker'. He really doesn't know the sport that well, so he goes to someone who lives and breathes football, Nate. After some coaxing, he shares his ideas, which basically involve using Jamie Tartt as a distraction and letting other people score goals.

In the Ted Lasso Season 1 finale, Nate becomes assistant coach and shows a video interview with Jamie. When Jamie insults Richmond, Isaac smashes the screen. Rebecca advises Ted to confuse the rival team by using chaotic trick plays. After the season's finale match, Ted meets Rebecca and tries to resign, but she refuses. Instead, they agree to fight for promotion next season and then aim to win the Premier League once they return.

In Season 2 of Ted Lasso, Danny Rojas goes for a penalty kick and, in a tragic accident, kills the team mascot. After the incident, Danny goes into trauma. So the management brings in a sports psychiatrist, Dr. Sharon, who is great at her job and helps Matt a lot.

Ted tries to win her over with his usual overwhelming friendliness, but Sharon's a real serious person. The team's operations manager, Leslie Higgins, gives Dr. Sharon his office, which becomes a running joke for the rest of the season.

Jamie was kicked off the team after he broke his contract to go on a reality dating show. Richmond's other best player, Roy Kent, finally had to retire last season. Now he's coaching his niece's football team and living happily with his girlfriend, Keely.

Keeley is working for the team as their sponsorship manager and sets up a great opportunity with Dubai Air with star player Sam Obesanya. But, he finds out Dubai Air's parent company is horribly polluting his home country of Nigeria.

Roy Kent is back at AFC Richmond, which is great, except for the other newest coach, Nathan Shelley. He was the lowly towel boy last season until Ted recognized his talent for football strategy and recruited him, but he's starting to let it go to his head. He spends the whole season bullying the new towel boy.

At the end of Ted Lasso Season 2, Ted gains full backing from the club after his panic attack becomes public. He turns his attention to Richmond’s decisive final match, which could secure their return to the Premier League. Roy forgives Jamie and Nate for their feelings toward Keeley but fears she may leave him. Two months later, Rupert introduces the new West Ham head coach, Nate.

The Ted Lasso season 3 finale episode titled 'So Long Farewell' ends with Richmond chasing the Premier League title. News breaks that Bex is divorcing Rupert because of his affairs, and Rupert risks losing his team due to s*xual misconduct. As the episode moves forward toward the end, Roy becomes Richmond’s head coach and begins therapy sessions with Dr. Sharon while Ted goes back home and coaches his son’s soccer team.
