Best Medicine Episode 4 focuses on Martin getting into trouble with the townspeople because of his nature to rely on logic instead of focusing on the emotions of the people. Food poisoning torments many townspeople, causing Martin to jump to the conclusion that the people are getting sick from the food of Salty Breeze.

He promptly raised a complaint, causing an inspector to arrive at Salty Breeze to check whether the facility is up to the mark. The inspector almost gives the restaurant the green signal to continue business when Martin points out Briscuit being present inside the kitchen. Salty Breeze gets closed down, putting Martin in a difficult position in front of the townspeople. Martin also finds himself in a difficult position while treating Blaze.

Abigail Spencer’s Louisa Gavin finds herself in a hilarious situation after Blaze’s arrival. Blaze keeps on calling her to become his volunteer, which makes Mark and Martin quite uncomfortable as well. After Martin’s actions lead to Salty Breeze getting closed down, Louisa confronts Martin to inform him about his mistake regarding the food poisoning.

Josh Charles’s depiction of Martin in this series shows his ability to bring life to a layered character with utmost precision. Martin has his own set of flaws, which come to life in this episode of the series as well. In this episode, Martin shows his concern for the townspeople by reporting on Salty Breeze’s hygiene condition.

However, he did not care to consider the emotions of Greg and George, who were always there by his side from day one of his arrival in Port Wenn. However, he eventually is able to understand his mistake and tries to make amends for his actions by pulling some strings so that George and Greg can keep Briscuit with them without any issue. 3) Cree as Elaine Denton

Cree’s depiction of Elaine’s struggles to accept her mother’s marriage resonates deeply. Despite always trying to maintain a happy exterior, at her heart, Elaine has her own set of difficulties, which she tries to navigate through in the series.

In this episode, Aunt Sarah finally confronts Martin for his harsh actions and also worries that maybe he is not the right person for Port Wenn. However, soon her heart melts when she realizes that Martin helped bring Briscuit back to Greg and George.

With the limited screen time Parker Young had in this episode, he perfectly depicted Blaze’s unique character with his acting prowess. Blaze, the survivalist, arrives at Port Wenn once a year.

His task is to help brush up on the survival skills of the townspeople. However, this time, his health created a difficulty for him, making him almost lose his life. Parker Young’s other projects are Imposters, Enlisted, etc.
