Martin’s logical actions become a nightmare for the townspeople in Best Medicine Episode 4

Episode 4 of Best Medicine starts with Martin getting ridiculed by the teenagers of the town for wearing the same outfit every single day. However, before they are able to speak more, they begin to throw up all together. On the other hand, Louisa and Elaine begin to dress up along with the other women of the town for something.

It is revealed that all the women are getting ready for the arrival of Blaze, the survivalist. On the other hand, Martin begins to check up on the teenagers. They tell him that they had dinner at the Salty Breeze the previous night, which makes Martin curious. Right then, another patient arrives with the same symptoms.

Martin decides to visit the Salty Breeze to check the food, thinking that there might be an issue. He then informs them about the complaint he lodged about the food-borne illness that might have occurred from the food of the Salty Breeze. Both Greg and George are completely shocked at Martin’s behavior.

As this episode of Best Medicine progresses, Mark arrives to take Martin to the Wilderness Survival workshop. After arriving at the location, Mark begins to tell Martin about Blaze and his arrival once a year to brush up on the townspeople’s survival skills.

Martin soon realizes the reason the women in the town are so eager for the workshop. The moment Blaze finds out that Louisa is single, he begins to ask her to be his volunteer for the tasks, which begins to affect Mark and Martin. During one of the exercises, Blaze gets injured. However, before Martin is able to help Blaze, he leaves.

Martin is then called back at the Salty Breeze to inform them about the high ratings the restaurant received. However, it shocks Martin, as he did not expect that Briscuit’s presence would violate any rules. This makes the inspector find out about the pig, leading to the closure of the Salty Breeze. The townspeople get angry at him for being the reason Salty Breeze closed.

Soon, Louisa arrived to inform him that she also had a stomach bug the previous night, but she did not eat from Salty Breeze. Hence, Martin’s conclusion about the Salty Breeze being the issue was actually wrong. Martin’s aunt also gets extremely angry at him for reporting Salty Breeze.

She also tells him that he has gone too far. The conversation with his aunt makes Martin rethink his past decisions. Right then, he comes across the X-ray of Blaze, where he finds that his health is critical and that he could die at any moment unless he gets the treatment. With Elaine’s advice, he asks for the help of all the women in the town to find Blaze. They are finally able to find Blaze. Martin uses his skills to finally bring back Blaze to safety, along with the help of the other women of the town.

At the end of this episode of Best Medicine, the source of the food poisoning is found, and Salty Breeze reopens. Martin is able to solve the issue of Briscuit not being able to stay with Greg and George as well. Martin and Elaine’s friendship also improves as he takes her to her mother’s wedding.
