Best Medicine Season 2 sees Martin race against time to help the pharmacy robber - Episode 2 recap inside

The latest episode of the platform's medical series saw Dr. Martin deal with the aftermath of confessing his blood phobia in front of the entire town. Things took a complicated turn when the pharmacy was robbed, including Louisa's time-critical medication. According to Filmi Feed, Gina Maria Afragola (the new pizza truck owner) was initially presumed to be a suspect. But she eventually helped in finding the actual robber.

Elsewhere in Best Medicine Season 2 Episode 2, Eden had an important conversation with Sarah. Sarah unknowingly revealed Martin's romantic history with Louisa to Eden, adding drama to the love triangle.

Best Medicine Season 2 Episode 2 began with the Port Wenn residents pranking Dr. Martin at Salty Breeze. After Martin's admission of his blood phobia in the previous episode, the town staged a fake emergency at Salty Breeze using ketchup. While the town perceived it as a harmless prank, Dr. Martin was naturally offended. To make matters worse, Eden antagonized Port Wenn and its residents for the prank. She maintained that the residents do not respect Martin and that he should immediately move to Boston once he gets his phobia under control.

While Eden blamed Port Wenn for pranking Martin, Louisa had a different reaction. She maintained that the prank was the town's harmless way to accept Martin and his blood phobia.

The pharmacy was robbed in Best Medicine Season 2 Episode 2

Things took a turn in Best Medicine Season 2 Episode 2 when Dr. Martin discovered the pharmacy had been robbed. Strangely, no cash was taken. Instead, the thief took medical supplies, including rubbing alcohol, a suture kit, bandages, and morphine. To make matters worse, Louisa's fertility medicine, which was lying with the vial of morphine, was also gone. Time was running out for Martin as Louisa had a 36-hour window to take the medicine before her egg-retrieval appointment.

Dr. Martin concluded that the pharmacy robbery in Best Medicine Season 2 Episode 2 was not random. The stolen medical supplies suggested that somebody was likely helping an injured person in secret. Martin's theory was proven right when alcohol and some Benadryl products were stolen from Salty Breeze. Gina became Port Wenn's easiest suspect in Best Medicine Season 2 Episode 2. But Martin realized that Gina was not the robber but might hold the key to finding the real thief. It turns out Gina was repeatedly saying the words 'shot him,' which Martin diagnosed as Tourette’s and latent echolalia. While the residents believed it to be Gina's confession, she picked up the words when she was lost in the woods. Martin and Louisa teamed up and used the poison ivy on Gina's knees to locate the robber at Nibbler’s Trail in the woods.

Upon arriving at a remote cabin near the trail, Martin discovered that the pharmacy robber was a teenage girl who had stolen the supplies for her boyfriend Kyle. It turns out that Kyle and his girlfriend sneaked into the woods while their school was on a trip. Kyle accidentally shot his father's hunting rifle and got injured, and the teenage girl robbed the pharmacy to help him. Martin understood that the kids were trying not to get caught by their parents, but Kyle needed urgent medical attention.

While the girl's attempt to help Kyle damaged his lung, Martin managed to stabilize the kid, and he was airlifted by a medical helicopter for further assistance.

In the final moments of Best Medicine Season 2 Episode 2, once Louisa found her fertility medicine, she got cold feet and contemplated whether she was ready to become a single mother. Martin helped calm Louisa down and made her realize that she had been working for this for a long time. Louisa finally got a hold of herself and took the trigger shot.

The episode concluded as Eden realized that Sarah's words were true: Martin and Louisa shared a strong connection.
