The finale of Beyond the Bar left many fans anticipating a Season 2, as it ended on an ambiguous note on the brewing new romance between Seok-hoon and Hyo-min.

According to Soompi, the SLL production company, which produces the legal K-drama for JTBC, shared that they were "having discussions" about a Season 2. However, details such as the "cast and schedule" have not yet been "finalized." They stated:

"We are in the stage of discussing the production of Season 2, but details such as the specific schedule and cast have not yet been finalized."

Along with seeking justice for their clients, the litigation team was also dealing with numerous personal struggles. Hyo-min was dealing with a complicated relationship with her mother, while Seok-hoon still carried the baggage of grief from losing his unborn child.

The team dealt with numerous cases, from domestic violence, assisted s*icide, child abuse, and co-parenting, to name a few. These cases saw Hyo-min and Seok-hoon clash constantly over their personal beliefs as they tried to find the best way to help their clients. As the series progressed, these clashes turned into meaningful conversations, which helped them tackle their own issues.

At the end of Beyond the Bar, the duo succeeded in helping their clients legally but left fans wanting more after their blind date in the final episode. Apart from Hyo-min and Seok-hoon's story, Min-jeong and Jin-woo's love story was also the highlight of the legal K-drama. After turning Jin-woo down several times, Min-jeong finally gave in to the former's sweet confession at the end.

While the cast for Beyond the Bar Season 2 has not been announced yet, a potential second season will surely bring up more rare legal issues that the team would have to deal with. It might also focus on Seok-hoon and Hyo-min's love story, which was left on a cliffhanger in Season 1.

Along with Lee Jin-wook and Jung Chae-yeon, Season 1 of the Netflix legal K-drama also includes Jeon Hye-bin, Lee Hak-joo, Kim Kang-min, Kim Yeo-jin, Kwon Ah-reum, and Kim Eui-sung, among numerous others.
