Why does Lee Man-bae from Bloodhounds Season 2 look familiar? Here’s where we’ve seen the actor before
Bloodhounds Season 2 followed the story of how IKFC's leader, Baek-jeong, forced Geon-woo to fight in his illegal boxing league. From the premiere Episode of Bloodhounds Season 2, he was trying to kidnap Geon-woo's mother, So-yeon, so he could make the boxing champion fight in the league and earn him a lot of money through the dark web.
Helping him in his dirty tricks was Lee Man-bae, played by Lee Si-eon. It was his men who went to Geon-woo's house to kidnap his mother. Man-bae was also the one who paid a cop in bitcoin to find out about Detective Choi's investigation into them and ordered his murder.
Furthermore, after Woo-jin and the others captured Gi-na, played by Kang Min-ah, she revealed to the police that Man-bae was the one she was in contact with, as he gave her the drugs to distribute and was also behind Min-beom's condition.
Later in Bloodhounds Season 2, it was revealed that Man-bae's real name was Lee Dong-hyeon, and he was an ex-NIS black-ops agent and was only afraid of them.
Lee Si-eon played a crucial role in Season 2 of the Netflix action K-drama and was second to Bae-jeong when it came to torturing or killing someone.
Apart from Bloodhounds, the 43-year-old actor also appeared in various other K-dramas, such as W, where he played the character of Park Soo-bong, a friend of W's creator Seong-moo and a loyal confidante by his daughter Yeon-joo's side.
Unlike the Netflix K-drama, Lee Si-eon's character Yong-pal used his fighting skills for good in the 2017 action K-drama, Two Cops. Another K-drama where Si-eon played a character who used his expertise to expose a murderer, unlike Man-bae, was the 2016 SBS K-drama, Remember Me.
Si-eon played a character named Soo-bum, who was initially helping the antagonist, Gyu-man, of the series, but later changed sides and worked on exposing him. The Bloodhounds Season 2 actor also appeared in cameo roles in several K-dramas, including I'm Not a Robot, Hotel del Luna, The Penthouse: War in Life 2, and Welcome to Waikiki 2.
