Bloody Flower Episode 5 recap: Han-jun’s worst fear comes to life

Bloody Flower episode 5 is an intense journey filled with complications as new turns of events arise in the lives of the characters. Woo-gyeom comes across a difficult situation because of Prosecutor Cha, while Han-jun finds himself more and more worried about his daughter.

This episode sets the stage for the upcoming turmoil that Woo-gyeom and Han-jun are going to face in the following episodes.

Han-jun’s worst fear comes to life in Bloody Flower Episode 5

Episode 5 of Bloody Flower starts with the news of Woo-gyeom saving another terminally ill patient spreading around. Chae Jeong-su, the chairman of Chaeum Medical Center, arrives to visit Han-jun. He tells Han-jun about the lottery system, which could be used to treat the patients using Woo-gyeom.

He then adds that his organization is the one making this decision; hence, to treat patients who need urgent treatment, such as Han-jun’s daughter, Min-seo, Chaeum wants to develop a cure from Woo-gyeom’s blood. So, he wants Han-jun to convince Woo-gyeom. This episode of Bloody Flower progresses with the public opinion favoring Woo-gyeom.

On the other hand, Prosecutor Cha gets reprimanded for the trial by Assemblyman Baek. Cha denotes that she is going to exploit the aspect that people are still afraid of the potential side effects of Woo-gyeom’s treatment. The date of the next hearing arrives, and Prosecutor Cha tells the court that she met with Lee Chang-se and Song Tae-jin and that their health is deteriorating. So she questions Woo-gyeom’s healing abilities and pushes for the death penalty for him.

Han-jun is prepared with his defense, saying that the patients fell sick because of other treatments; hence, it was not because of Woo-gyeom. Han-jun’s hopeful words about Woo-gyeom move the case in his favor. After Han-jun speaks, the judge gives the final judgement that Woo-gyeom can make a positive contribution to society with his abilities and will be spending his days treating terminally ill patients.

However, if Woo-gyeom refuses to treat any patient, his original death sentence will be reinstated. This episode of Bloody Flower continues with Assemblyman Baek not being happy with the outcome of the case. Cha also gets repercussions for losing the case. While Han-jun informs Woo-gyeom about the facility he will be receiving so that he can treat the patients, Woo-gyeom tells him that he wants to treat Min-seo first, as he is grateful for Han-jun’s support.

This episode of Bloody Flower progresses with Assemblyman Baek visiting Chae Jeong-su to voice his disapproval of Jeong-su’s support for Woo-gyeom. However, Chase Jeong-su does not care about Baek, as his only concern is making more money, and with Woo-gyeom, he will be able to do that.

This episode continues with Woo-gyeom waking up in the new facility provided to him. Han-jun is also worried about the offer he received from Jeong-su to convince Woo-gyeom. Min-seo’s condition begins to worsen. Min-seo also loses her eyesight, which makes Han-jun understand that unless he does something soon, he will not be able to save his daughter’s life.

Cha keeps on searching more into the case; however, she is given a punishment for which she is reassigned to Namhae. Cha then confronts Director Oh, asking him if he knew that Professor Han Sang Ho is connected to Lee Woo Gyeom. However, he does not tell her any details and gives her a last warning.

This episode of Bloody Flower continues with the Chaeum Medical Board discussing reducing the percentage for Assemblyman Baek. However, Jeong-su indicates that it is an investment for the future. This episode of Bloody Flower ends with Min-seo’s condition deteriorating, while Woo-gyeom finds that Min-seo’s name is not present in the list of the patients he is set to treat.
