A look at crime-thriller K-drama, Bloody Flower (Image via KOCOWA+)

Bloody Flower turned out to be one of the K-dramas of 2026 that has a unique plot, as the story isn't focused on any one character but three different people. It begins with a man being arrested in Guam City, accused of abducting people with disabilities.

The K-drama only has 8 episodes, and episodes 7 and 8 of Bloody Flower will come out on February 25, 2026. You can stream it on Viu, KOCOWA+ and even Disney+ with English subtitles.

As the story starts, it looks like this is a simple kidnapping case, and once this man named Lee Woo-gyeom is arrested, he will reveal where he kept the victims. But as the K-drama moves on, the truth becomes unbelievable and brutal.

Woo-gyeom is responsible for at least 17 murders. He did not kill impulsively. He claims the victims were used in unauthorized medical experiments that he conducted in secret.

To prove his point, he hires an attorney, Park Han-jun who wants his daughter to recover from an illness that hasn't been cured. On the other side, Cha Yi-yeon is the prosecutor handling the case with the only motive to prove Woo-gyeom is a murderer and nothing else.

What happened in Bloody Flower episodes 5-6: A quick recap

After being treated with a drug associated with Lee Woo-gyeom, episode five of Bloody Flower shows how the judges begin to be less severe regarding Lee's sentencing, as a terminally ill man surprisingly recovers. Chae Jeong-su of Chaeum Medical Center plans to develop a new drug using Lee's blood and enlists Han-jun to convince Lee to assist in treating patients with it.

After the final hearing, Lee receives a conditional sentence and is placed in the state’s designated isolation unit at Chaeum. A new facility will soon be opened for patients selected by lottery to receive treatment. Min-seo will not be selected for treatment, and her health will further decline, causing her to lose her eyesight.

Yi-yeon has been denied the suit against Chae (as the case was lost) and has been assigned to a new case. Yi-yeon starts to question Chae about Han and brings up a long-standing rumor that Han conducted experimental trials on humans at Chaeum, although the case was dismissed in court.

Later, Han shows Lee how to escape during a medical demonstration. Chae denies Yi-yeon’s accusations about motherhood and later gets to see Han's red notebook for research purposes.

Reporters Min-gyeong and Woo-cheol are looking into the reported death of Lee's mother and find there are inconsistencies. Yi-yeon reviews police records and finds several overlaps between Gong and Oh in the investigation. Suspicion is growing about a past malpractice case. A live demonstration interrupts Lee's escape in this episode.
