Here is the complete recap.

Boston Blue Season 2 Episode 2 recap: Lena and Danny found a new lead in Brian's case

While Thaddeus was tight-lipped about his source in Boston Blue Season 2 Episode 2, Lena and Danny discovered that the person lived in Eastborough. The place rang a bell because Lena's biological father, Chris, was Chief there. The duo suspected that Brian's attack was likely connected to one of Chris' cases. Since Chris caught a lot of bad guys, one of them was likely taking revenge by going after his future son-in-law.

Chris traveled to Boston to help Lena with the case. He suspected Cain’s Disciples, a biker group involved in the meth trade. Danny and Lena found the car that ran off Brian's vehicle and saw blood on the steering wheel. A trip to Eastborough led them to their culprit, a young disciple with a head injury, suggesting he was Brian's attacker. Danny and Lena did not arrest the probie in front of the gang. When the probie went out to get food, Danny and Lena took him into custody.

Lena and Brian's goodbye in Boston Blue Season 2 Episode 2

The probie confessed to the gang's involvement in Brian's attack in Boston Blue Season 2 Episode 2. He was ordered to take photos initially but his orders changed when the gang discovered Brian was working on their dr*g case. The probie was not confident in shooting Brian, so he used a car to finish the task and that mistake cost his gang. Danny and Lena were taking the probie back to Boston, where he would get a deal for his cooperation and protective custody, but they walked into a trap laid by the gang.

It turns out the doctor who stitched the probie had outed him in front of the gang because her medical clinic was a front for their meth trade. The DEA was keeping tabs on the doctor and her people and they took over the case. Sarah and her officers arrived at the bridge and rescued Danny, Lena and the probie.

After Sarah refused to reinstate Brian in the Boston Blue Season 2 premiere, he decided to take a job with the DEA. It was not confirmed whether Brian broke up with Lena but it was goodbye for now.

Danny and Baez made an important decision in Boston Blue Season 2 Episode 2

Danny and Baez's park date was interrupted by the arrival of Dania, Elena’s biological maternal grandmother, in Boston Blue Season 2 Episode 2. While Dania was too sick to care for Elena when her daughter died and Baez adopted her, she wanted to become a part of her granddaughter's life. Baez and Danny had an important decision to make about Elena's future.

In the final moments of Boston Blue Season 2 Episode 2, the couple did a thorough background check and decided to allow Dania to meet with Elena.

Speaking with ScreenRant, Donnie Wahlberg teased how Dania's arrival could lead to trouble for the family:

"...it gives Danny and Baez a chance to expand Elena's family, and at least let her have a connection to her biological parents, her biological mom, but that could open the door for the biological dad to show up, right?"
