Carême Season 2: Everything we know so far about the Napoleonic-era show’s next chapter

Carême is returning to the world of great kitchens, political intrigue, and Napoleonic-era drama, with Carême Season 2 now in production. Benjamin Voisin returns as Antonin Carême, and Martin Bourboulon is still attached to the series as director.

Season one follows the rise of Carême from his humble origins in Paris to a celebrated chef whose cuisine earned him entry to the highest echelons of French society. Eventually, his association with the diplomat Talleyrand drew him into the dangerous world of espionage, romance, and political games.

As seen at the end of Season 1, Carême still has to deal with a lot of things in his life. His bond with Henriette remains complicated, and it raises the question of whether they can have a child or not. And then, there are growing tensions around Napoleon, which hints at more trouble in the next chapter.

Carême Season 2 cast and production details

Filming for Carême Season 2 is scheduled to begin in mid-October 2026 in France's Île-de-France region. Production is expected to continue through November and December, with some reports pointing to December 19 as a possible end date.

Deadline reported that the new season is being filmed in and around Paris, with locations including Tuileries Palace, Château de Fontainebleau, Château de Chantilly, and Château de Compiègne. Several of these locations will help recreate the look of the early 1800s for the period drama.

Voisin will return as Carême after completing work on another project, a Johnny biopic. The actor is once again set to work with Bourboulon, who contributed to the first season of the TV series.

Lyna Khoudri has also been linked to the production as Henriette, Carême's complicated love interest. Jérémie Renier and Alice Da Luz, who played Talleyrand and Agathe respectively, have appeared in production-related reports, but their Season 2 roles have not been fully confirmed publicly.

What the story could explore next

Apple TV+ has not released an official Season 2 synopsis, so the new storyline remains under wraps. However, the ending of Season 1 leaves room for more plots to continue.

Carême and Talleyrand may become embroiled in even more dangerous affairs as Napoleon's campaigns and various changing political allegiances will alter France and Europe forever. The wider Napoleonic Wars could also be a key part of Season 2.

His personal life has just as much unfinished business. His difficult relationship with Henriette might be an important storyline, especially after their complicated feelings were showcased in season one, which included anger and betrayal.

Does Carême Season 2 have a release date? Here's what we know so far

As of now, there's no confirmed release date for Carême Season 2 on Apple TV+. Additionally, the episode count also remains unannounced. A 2027 arrival would fit the current production schedule if filming and post-production move ahead normally.

However, fans will need to wait for Apple to officially confirm when the new episodes of Carême Season 2 will arrive. The first season premiered on April 30, 2025, with eight episodes ending on June 11.
