Carrie episode titles revealed: Here’s what Mike Flanagan has in store

Carrie is getting a new television life with Mike Flanagan’s upcoming eight-episode series for Prime Video. And now, even the episode titles have been announced ahead of the release.

What's exciting is that the series will arrive on October 7, 2026, with all eight episodes dropping at once, letting viewers watch the whole story in one go. Based on Stephen King’s 1974 debut novel, the show is being positioned as an interpretation instead of a simple remake of the older films.

This is also the first time the story has been made into a television series, giving Mike Flanagan much more space to explore Carrie, her family, and the community around the titular character.

Summer H. Howell will be seen leading the series as Carrie White, and Samantha Sloyan as the main figure's mother, Margaret. The cast also includes Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle, Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross, and Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen.

Another interesting thing about this series is that it's adapted in a modern setting, in which the bullying of the main character is connected to social media and the way humiliation can spread beyond the school. At the same time, her telekinetic abilities are developing as she faces the pressures of adolescence.

This is also one of the reasons why this upcoming series feels different from the previous works. Instead of just moving from Carrie’s introduction to the infamous prom scene, Flanagan has room to show how the characters and situations develop in between.
