Chicago Med Season 11 Episode 16, titled 'The Book of Charles' dropped this Wednesday. It plunges Dr. Daniel Charles right into the centre of chaos. The episode begins with Charles having a panic attack at the hospital. It rolls back to the events that led to Charles' panic attack.
It begins with a disturbing phone call that Charles attends at the suicide prevention helpline centre. Gio feels suicidal and he calls the helpline for help. He tells Charles that Gio feels that he is responsible for his girlfriend's death. Charles tries to counsel Gio, but the call gets disconnected abruptly. Charles spirals into deep thoughts about Gio, and it replays in his mind throughout the next day, too.
In short, he gets deeply affected after he is unable to reach Gio or get an update about him. Later, Lenox's patient, Sage, who apparently is diagnosed with Munchausen syndrome, files a complaint against Charles after he tries to counsel her.
Charles believes that he is faking her health issues to seek attention. Sage gulps down drain cleaners to prove her point, and her health deteriorates further. Unable to handle the pressure, Charles has a panic attack, and he loses consciousness.

Hannah Riley returns as Anna Charles
Hannah Riley (Better Things and Paper Towns ) returns in Chicago Med Season 11 Episode 16 as Anna Charles, Dr. Charles' daughter. Soon, Charles realises that she is hiding something about her relationship. Nurse Doris helps him to find out more about Anna's boyfriend.
However, when Anna learns that Doris is stalking her boyfriend. She confronts her, and Charles confesses that he asked Doris to find out more about the man. Anna rants it out and asks Charles to stay aloof from her personal life.
Zackary Arthur voices Gio
Zachary Arthur (Chucky and Transplant) voices Gio, the person who reaches out to Charles on the suicide prevention helpline. He tells Charles that he has thought about self-harm because he believes that he is responsible for his girlfriend's death. Before Charles could counsel him, the call got disconnected. However, this disturbing call deeply affects Charles.
Narsi Perez Regina as Sage Ellison
Narsi Perez Regina (Shelter and FBI) plays Sage Ellison in Chicago Med Season 11 Episode 16. Sage, Lennox's patient, initially complains about abdominal pain and opts for surgery. When nothing shows up on her report, Lenox asks for Charles' help.
After the diagnosis, Charles found out that she might have Munchausen syndrome. However, Sage refuses to believe Charles and files a complaint against him.
