Chicago Med Season 12 Episode 2, titled Third Rails, is set to air on Wednesday, October 14 at 8:00 PM ET. The episode will also be available to stream on Peacock the following day. The premiere episode ended with Nurse Doris visiting Sharon Goodwin to reveal that she had leaked Dr. Theo Rabari's private medical files. Previously, Miranda accused Goodwin of leaking Rabari's files to save Charles' position. Elsewhere, Dr. Hannah Asher told Dean Archer that she will be on maternity leave for a few weeks.

The promo begins with Dr. John Frost assuring an injured teen boy,

As more victims arrive at Gaffney, Dr. Frost gets busier than ever.
The camera then cuts to the next scene, where Dr. Frost is seen in the shower with his alleged new love interest. Their moment is interrupted when Ripley knocks on the door and asks if Frost is with a girl. Frost chuckles in response, and Ripley immediately understands what is going on. The promo suggests a shift in Frost's romantic story.
Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, who plays Dr. Naomi Howard, announced her departure from the show on TikTok while replying to a fan's comment. Chestnut did not specify the reasons for her exit from the show. In an interview, showrunner Allen MacDonald avoided talking about Frost and Naomi's relationship. Speaking about Frost's love life, he said that Frost would be facing a bump in the road. Elsewhere, since Hannah Asher is on maternity leave for a few weeks, the viewers might not get to see her on screen. Sarah Ramos, who plays Dr. Caitlyn Lennox, might also not appear for the first five episodes. Ramos was away on maternity leave. Her character, Caitlyn, took a three-month sabbatical for her GSS treatment in Zurich.
Nurse Doris leaked Theo Rabari's medical files: What's next for Sharon Goodwin?
In Chicago Med Season 12 Episode 1, Nurse Doris visited Goodwin to ask her to withdraw Miranda's deal. When Goodwin asked how she knew about it, she confessed that she leaked Theo Rabari's file.
